Discover all that Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, has to offer:
Conferment. After all, you deserve it! Bring your family, join your
colleagues and industry leaders, and receive public recognition for this
major professional achievement.
Phil Keoghan. Here’s a chance to be motivated and inspired by a man
who’ll get you to think big, challenge yourself, ditch the excuses, and
live life NOW.
Annual Meeting and Seminars. Lifelong learning is a serious
commitment for CPCUs. Begin fulfilling this commitment by
attending the various meetings and technical seminars.
Philadelphia history. The City of Brotherly Love is the birthplace of
our nation. You can see the Liberty Bell; visit Betsy Ross’ house; tour
Independence Hall and see where the Declaration of Independence
was signed; and explore the new Constitution Center; along with many
other unique sites that are important pieces of America’s history.
Music. This city has music for every taste. We are home to a world
class orchestra and ballet company. What’s more, Philly boasts a
thriving local music scene with live performances from rock and folk
to jazz and everything in between.
Food. Sure, Philly’s known for cheesesteaks, hoagies, and pretzels. And
believe us, they’re really good. But our city is also home to fine dining at
restaurants led by renowned chefs. Virtually every type of cuisine can be
found here. And remember to visit the Reading Terminal Market just
across the street from the Marriott. It’s full of wonderful international
delicacies and regional specialties.
Art. The Philadelphia Museum of Art holds a vast collection of works
by artists like Rubens, Delacroix, Rodin, Cezanne, van Gogh, Renoir,
Picasso, Matisse, and our own Thomas Eakins. The city is also home
to numerous galleries, as well as the world-famous Rodin Museum.
Surrounding area. Before you head home (or maybe even before all
the CPCU excitement starts), take some time to discover the areas
outside the city. Within approximately an hour’s drive, you can tour
Valley Forge National Historical Park, explore the beautiful towns of
historic Bucks County, and escape to our beloved Jersey Shore.
Family friendly attractions. One of the joys of conferment is sharing
the experience with family. And if your family includes children (or
even just the young-at-heart), you’ll find activities to please all ages.
The Please Touch Museum and the Franklin Institute offer exciting
interactive exhibits. The Battleship New Jersey and the New Jersey
State Aquarium are a convenient ferry ride away, on the other side
of the Delaware River. You might even want to watch our defending
NL East Champion Phillies take on the Marlins or the Brewers at our
new ballpark!
Make your own history. Come to conferment in Philadelphia. You’ve
earned it! Make new friends, share some quality time with your family,
gain some new technical skills, bask in your accomplishment, enjoy
everything our city has to offer, and make history!
