20 38 32 When stuffing the products one should remember that on the package is given not a nominal
caliber of AMIPAK casing but a minimum stuffing caliber.
The real stuffing caliber is determined by many factors — temperature, meat mass consistence,
condition of the filling machine. The lower is the temperature of the meat mass the smaller is the
stuffing caliber. In this case it is recommended to use the minimum recommended stuffing caliber (for
example for the casing Ø24 : 24,5–25,0 mm) and to reduce the stuffing speed by 10–20%.
When the recommended stuffing caliber is observed the good appearance of the final product is
insured, the meat capacity is increased, and the risk of jelly pockets is reduced.

AMILUX is the first plastic permeable casing for hot dogs in the world.

AMILUX casing is meant for the production of all kind of hot dogs and frankfurters manufactured
under technologies involving smoking. It enables to produce meat products with traditional
organoleptic charecteristics peculiar for products in permeable (cellulose) casings.
AMILUX casing is manufactured under the original patented technology from mixtures of highquality polyamides developed by the leading polimer producers specially for our company.

correspond to modern forms of trade, helps keep the weight and prolongs shelf-life of products in
AMILUX casing.
In the process of storing of ready hot dogs and frankfurters packed in a secondary packaging in the course
of time there occurs the cutting off the technological humidity. If the hot dogs or frankfurters have been
made in the permeable casing AMILUX, then the quantity of gathered humidity under packaging will be

The secondary packaging can be devided into industrial (group) and consumer. The industrial packaging is used for
packing of several kilograms of products at a time (2-15 kg), and it should be opened just before sale. The use of the
consumer packaging presupposes that will be small quantity of products, for example 6-8 hot dogs. At that the consumer
packaging in retail chains will not be opened but sold together with the content.
