Fawn-November

November 2015
This Month’s Verse:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.”
Psalm 118:1
Dear Parents,
Happy November!
We have enjoyed a great start to the fall in the Fawns class,
learning about the season and all of its fun activities! We will begin the
month with an introduction to the alphabet as we prepare to start our
letter of the week themes this school year. As the month continues we
will be looking at the letter N and talking about nutrition. The Fawns will
learn about different foods and how they help keep our bodies healthy.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we will be learning about the letter
T. As we learn about this special holiday, the Fawns will discover what life
looked like for the Pilgrims and Native Americans. We will discuss what
the first Thanksgiving feast was all about and think about things we can
say “thank you” to God for!
To celebrate Thanksgiving, we will be having a feast at snack time
on Tuesday, November 24th with our friends in the Bunnies class. The
Fawns will dress up as the Pilgrims for our feast, where we will share
some traditional foods and play fun Thanksgiving games together. Please
make sure to check your child’s communication folder for more
information about our upcoming Thanksgiving feast, as the date gets
closer. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
