18. Supervisor - Maintenance
The Maintenance Supervisor at The Timken Company is primarily responsible for directing the maintenance personnel to perform
equipment repair, facility maintenance and preventative machine maintenance. Utilizes extensive specialized knowledge in facility and
machine maintenance to support the bearing and repair process. Provides technical and problem solving support, and develops and
maintains vendor relationships in support of production. In addition is responsible for the handling of environmental programs and

 The moving of equipment in and out of the plant (Millwright).
 Repair and maintain of vehicles.
 Major furnace repairs in Heat Treat.
 Loading and unloading of semi-trucks (product, oil and supplies.)
 Handling all plant tubing needs (unload bring in and load machines).
 Maintenance of floors, walls and general cleanliness of plant (inside and outside).
 Repair of all hydraulic problems of plant production equipment.
 Maintain all water toll systems, pumps and filters.
 Maintain mendor and oiling schedules on production equipment.
 Ordering parts for projects and production requirements.
 Implementation of approved suggestions.
 Maintenance of all handling equipment.
 Changeovers of all production handling equipment.
 Maintenance of production equipment in the plant (including handling equipment).
 Controls absenteeism to meet departmental goals.
 Safety - Stress the importance to work safely and to develop a safe working environment.
 Control department expenditures - by forecasting department needs in the way of materials and manpower.
 Housekeeping - keep work areas clean at all times.
Qualifications:
 Must possess the following qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalency and completion of a four year apprenticeship training program, preferably in
Machine Repair, General Maintenance, or as Electrician OR
Four year college degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering),
