Location: Emeryville, CA 94608 Position type: Full-time Required education: Ph.D. Area(s) of expertise desired: Cell Biology, Immunology Description: The Research Scientist, Cell Biology will join an experienced in-house team in the discovery and development of fully-human therapeutic antibody drugs for innovative cancer immunotherapies. The candidate will actively participate in scientific discussions and contribute to experimental designs related to his/her own scientific projects. He/she will perform hands-on bench work including, but not limited to, mammalian cell culture, virus transduction and production, phenotypic characterization of human T cells, T cell activation/cytotoxic killing assay, FACS, immunofluorescence, ELISA, ELISPOT, cytokine and chemokine detection. He/she will develop multidisciplinary knowledge and expertise in translating the latest biomedical discoveries in breakthrough cancer immunotherapies. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of T cell immunology combined with practical and technical experience in cell biology and oncology. He/she is a hard-working and motivated team player with a can-do attitude. Requirements Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Oncology, Immunology, or related field with post-doctoral or industrial experiences. Previous experience in antibody drug discovery is preferred. Proven track record of success in scientific creativity and independent thinking, including a strong publication/patent record. Excellent communication skills, including written reports/scientific publications, and presentations to the senior management team and external stakeholders.
