opportunities.
We are all looking
forward to our trip to
Cadbury World
tomorrow. Please ensure the children
bring a disposable packed lunch (the
packaging not the food!) and a
lightweight waterproof jacket. It would
be ideal if these items are placed in a
rucksack so the children’s hands are
free to explore the exhibition. We are
setting off at 8.30 prompt and would
like all children in school by 8.15am.
The day after our trip, Friday
13th Nov, children can come to
school in their pyjamas (5
minutes longer in bed for all of us) for
our annual Children in Need
celebrations, for a £1 donation.
We have also been baking cakes to link
with our instructional writing in
Literacy. The cake stall will charge 20p
per cake and funds will be sent to the
charity.
Premium Funding
As we mentioned at our ‘Meet the
Teacher’ session and in a recent letter
from Mrs France, if you think that your
child is eligible for pupil premium
funding, please email or telephone the
office to speak to Ms Scott. Your child
will then be able to benefit from the
As we are fast approaching
the festive season, auditions,
play rehearsals and choir
practice for Year 3 and 4 will gain
momentum this half term. The
performance will be on Tuesday 15th
December in the evening. If your child
is unable to attend the performance
please let their class teacher know as
soon as possible.
We want to thank you in advance for
supporting your child with learning their
lines and providing additional items for
the performance.
Anybody good with a sewing machine
please make yourself known to the
school office. We always need support
with costumes and props!
The annual Christmas fair will be held
on the evening of Friday 4th December
and year 3 will be running their own
stall. If children in year 3 would like to
help Mrs Willett run the stall please let
her or Ms Pascoe know.
As the weather is turning
colder please ensure your
child arrives at school
appropriately dressed and that all hats,
scarves and gloves are named.
