PRESS RELEASE
The Monarch High School Knight Battalion competes in the Civilian Marksmanship
Program (CMP) Nationals 2012 Three Position Air Rifle Junior Olympics.
Anniston, Alabama, June 23-25, 2012: The Monarch High School Army JROTC finished 13th in the nation
during the CMP National championship. Team members Anna Alldread, Maykoll Souza, Zacharia Yasin, and
Stephen Quinn scored a team high 4143 points with 88 bull eyes in the two day competition. Individually, Cadet
Alldread finished 36th, Cadet Souza finished 35th, Cadet Yasin finished 65th and Cadet Quinn finished 59th out of
over 800 competitors. All team members will return next season with high expectations of returning to the national
