RS1 Rear Reflector Screens
for FM Radio Broadcast Dipoles
BROADCAST
ANTENNAS
Updated 16 February 2011
When fitted to an FM radio broadcast dipole such as FMD-CPLP,
FMD-CPHP or FMCPX, an RS1 rear screen restricts the radiation
pattern emitted behind the antenna.
A rear reflector screen also produces an increase in forward gain.
In the case of FMD-CPLP and FMD-CPHP for example :
FMD-CPHP with
RS1 rear screen
fitted
ÂÂ Single Bay = 3.0 dBd
ÂÂ 2-Bay = 6.0 dBd
ÂÂ 3-Bay = 7.5 dBd
ÂÂ 4-Bay = 9.0 dBd
Rear screens can be fitted to various different model FM broadcast
antennas. Enquire for further details.
It is important to note that where a rear screen is fitted to an existing
antenna, then the antenna will need to be re-tuned.

88 – 108 MHz
Any 4%
These cross polarised Yagi Y200CP Series antennas for FM radio
transmit and receive will cover any 4% bandwidth you specify within the
FM frequency range 88 to 108 MHz at better than -20 dB return loss.
Y206CP
Major benefits of this cross polarised design include :
ÂÂ Eliminate multipathing due to unwanted reflections and refractions.
ÂÂ The circular elliptical radiation pattern operates in both horizontal and
vertical planes.
ÂÂ Signals will penetrate the more obscure areas that a single plane antenna
simply cannot, particularly in hilly terrain or where there are trees, wire
fencing and steel structures in the signal path.
Constructed from either aluminium or stainless steel, 2 sets of elements
are arranged in a diagonal cross pattern and the 2 driven elements are at
90° phase shift. These Yagi’s are supplied with a 2-Way Phasing Harness
terminated with an N-Type Female connector rated for 250 watts power.
Y2300
2, 4 and 6 element models are available with gain varying accordingly from 3
dBd up to 9 dBd per plane.
The Y2300 or Y2300SS heavy duty right-angle clamp is recommended for
mounting these Yagi’s to a mast up to 50 mm in diameter. For the 6 element
model Y206CP, the YS1 single 2.5 metre strut kit is highly recommended
to support the long 5 metre boom. Both the mounting clamp and strut kit is
available to order separately.

TV6-5282 Series
UHF TV Dipole 4-Stack Array
BROADCAST
ANTENNAS
Updated 9 July 2012
Frequency
Bandwidth
520 – 820 MHz
120 MHz minimum
Constructed entirely from stainless steel, these broadband UHF TV 4-stack dipole
arrays are designed for wide band vertically polarised TV transmissions where a
high gain is required.
Key features are :
ÂÂ The 120 MHz minimum bandwidth is ideal for multiple UHF TV station
transmissions and antenna sharing,
ÂÂ 7.5 dBd gain,
ÂÂ Neat design with an internal power divider included,
ÂÂ Factory tuned and spaced ready to mount,
ÂÂ Stainless steel construction ensures a long service life, and
ÂÂ Minimal wind loading.
The standard range consists of 3 fixed frequency models TV6-5282-A, TV6-5282-B and
TV6-5282-C each factory tuned to cover a designated bandwidth within the UHF TV
frequency range 520 to 820 MHz.
Alternatively, clients can specify any 120 MHz bandwidth they require. Return loss will
be optimised to better than -20 dB across the chosen UHF TV transmit frequency range.
For a custom bandwidth dipole array, the order code is TV6-5282.
An N-Female connector rated for 200 watts input power is located inside the base of the
mount tube. For higher 500 watts input power, add the suffix “-MP” to the order code.
To achieve even higher transmit power and gain, these dipole arrays can be mounted in
tandem using another power divider.
Any of these arrays can be fitted with the TV6-RS stainless steel rear reflector screen to
achieve a restricted cardiod shaped radiation pattern at the rear with gain increased to
10.5 dBd. See the following page for details.

These 4 element Y104 series Yagi’s are designed to cover either
Channel 1 or Channel 2 in VHF TV Band 1. Suitable for low power
transmissions, other typical applications are off-air receive and
re-broadcasting.
Bandwidth is achieved by phasing a pair of folded dipoles together in
a small log cell. Return loss is optimised to broadcast standard, better
than -20 dB and less than 1.2:1 VSWR across the TV channel.
ÂÂ Y104-57 for Channel 1 is manufactured from stainless steel with
a 7/8" EIA connector rated for up to 1,000 watts power.
ÂÂ Y104-67 for Channel 2 is aluminium with stainless steel fasteners.
The N-Female connector is suitable for up to 500 watts.
These Yagi’s are a very large size and will need to be properly supported with a strut kit and heavy duty right-angle
mounting clamp.
The YS1-100 single strut kit and Y2300 heavy duty galvanised steel right-angle clamp is considered the minimum necessary.
For additional stability against side-to-side wind flutter, the YS2-100 two way strut kit is the other alternative available.

Y815SS-CP
Cross Polarised UHF TV Broadcast Yagi
Frequency
Bandwidth
520 – 820 MHz
8 Adjacent Channels
The Y815SS-CP cross polarised UHF TV broadcast Yagi
operates with 13.5 dBd gain in both horizontal and vertical
planes. Television transmission signals will therefore
penetrate into the more obscure areas that a single plane
antenna simply cannot.
The circular elliptical radiation pattern reduces unwanted
reflection and refraction of signals. This improves transmit and
receive performance, particularly in hilly terrain or where there
are trees, wire fencing and steel structures in the signal path.
Constructed entirely from stainless steel, 15 sets of elements
are arranged in a cross pattern and the 2 driven elements are
at 90° phase shift.
Specify any 8 adjacent UHF TV channels within the frequency
range 520 to 820 MHz and your cross polarised television
broadcast Yagi antenna will be manufactured and tuned
accordingly to better than -17 dB return loss, less than 1.3:1
VSWR.
The Yagi is supplied with a 2-way phasing harness terminated
with an N-female connector rated for up to 100 watts input
power.
A YS1-48 single strut kit will be necessary to properly support the
antenna boom. This may be ordered separately, together with
the S48-AM right-angle diagonal mast mounting clamp, coaxial
feeder cable, connectors and other installation accessories.

ANTENNAS
Updated 16 February 2011
Frequency

700 – 820 MHz
8 CHANNELS
The Yagi Y800-20RL Series are a single dipole design which
can cover any 8 consecutive UHF TV channels you specify
within the upper Band V frequency range 700 to 820 MHz,
Channels 53 to 69.
Return loss will be optimised to better than -20 dB across your
chosen 8 channel range.
When you only need to cover a limited number of UHF TV
channels, then these single dipole directional Yagi broadcast
antennas will be your most economical solution.
Constructed from either aluminium or stainless steel, the range
consists of 6, 9 and 15 element models varying from 9 dBd up to
14 dBd forward gain.
Y809-20RL
The Yagi’s may be mounted either horizontal or vertical as required. All models have a short 250 mm RG59 cable tail
terminated with an N-Female connector rated for up to 50 watts input power. A strut kit is highly recommended to properly
support the boom of the 15 element Y815-20RL models.
A mast mounting clamp, feeder cable, connectors and other accessories are all available separately to complete the
antenna installation.

Yagi Rear Reflector Screens
Updated 16 February 2011
When a rear reflector screen is fitted to a Yagi, the radiation pattern emitted at the rear is restricted considerably
and the front-to-back ratio is improved to better than 24 dB to meet the Australian Communications and Media
Authority standard.
ZCG Scalar manufacture two types of rear reflector screens to suit any base station or broadcast Yagi in the Y400, Y600TV,
Y800 or Y800-20RL series :
ÂÂ YFRS is a flat screen.
ÂÂ YVRS is a Vee-shaped screen for additional side-lobe suppression.
These screens can be constructed from either aluminium or stainless steel.
