'The Anti-Purist in Oaxaca' Special Course with the de la Torre Brothers Course Description: An intensive glass sculpting class for artists or skilled craftspeople that are interested in further artistic exploration. The courses primary focus is the experience of hot glass sculpture and how it can work with and combine with other materials and techniques. Students should bring to the class their other technical skills and knowledge as well as 'found objects' which act as inspiration to the mixed media creations. Glassblowing and color application techniques will be demonstrated daily as well as giving practical advice on how to assemble pieces, gluing and painting as well as how to promote your pieces in museums, galleries and as public art.
