PLANT MANAGER (M / F) POSITION TITLE Plant Manager (M/F) DEPARTMENT Quality Department REPORTING STRUCTURE General Manager JOB SCOPE Manufacturing - Production LOCATION Lavonia USA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Plant Manager is responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: production, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities also include facility/ physical plant up-keep and capital improvements. In addition the Plant Manager will be responsible for annual budget planning and execution. They will work closely with the production team to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation. Experience including best practices in both managerial and production platforms. • Responsible for the elaboration of the plans and Forecast of the productive plants, especially in the technical result of the plants • Implementation, Control and Monitoring of Master and Country KPI‘s • Contact with clients especially in cases of quality problems, and relocations or relocations of processes to agree plans or actions with final client • Interface between the production plant of the region and the central services of the South West Holding • Interface with Germany in relation to COC (Center on Competence) in the concept and development phases of new processes and/or products and start-up in plants • Interface with customers‘ Key-Account in the areas competent to collaborate on new product offerings • In-house training to USA plant personnel especially in the management based on the premises, tools and guidelines of MSSU for responsible of areas of Quality, Production, Maintenance • Participates in the activities of expansion plans in the subordinate areas, both of plant growth and in new regional locations • Implementation of systems for recruitment and training of talents, as well as loyalty of Key Positions according to the standard of the region • Participate in South West Operations Project Groups • Responsible for implementation and compliance with applicable legal regulations in terms of prevention of occupational risks • To propose to the coordinator of the region USA productive, environmental, quality, economic, training improvements… • Periodically report progress and/or changes in the plants of the competent areas to coordinator region USA • Participate in boards of directors meetings when required • Informs and implements changes in the standards of the group in its areas of competence • Responsible for the achievement of the expected results in the P&L of its areas of competence • Participate in the next Benchmarking that will be carried out by technologies or products between the North East and South West regions. ›› Scope of responsibilities may vary based on business needs. ›› This position may require travel up to possibly 30% based on customer/supplier demands ›› Position may involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs. JOB REQUIREMETS • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Mechanical engineering degree, industrial organization or similar Education should include a four year college degree in a related field; technical and lean training a plus. At least 5 years work experience with quality management in automotive and or manufacturing. Strong communicator, people management, analytical, technical, problem solving, initiative, flexible, strong negotiator, adaptable, persuasive, motivator, team player and multi-tasker, Leadership and decision making, lead and facilitate change. Organizing, team work ability and target oriented effective problem solving skills Ability to integrate tools and procedures in digital projects aimed at improving competitiveness, and information Communication of digital innovations for product specifications Knowledge in processes and products of metallic components by means of welding/profiling ISO standard knowledge applicable to both quality and the environment Knowledge of specific BMW and MB client requirements Knowledge management tools automotive sector Languages: Spanish and German valued Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint) advanced level Experience as head of plant assembly automotive sector Accustomed to working directly with the final customer OEM‘s Project management and management of multidisciplinary teams Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally sit and continuously be required to walk or stand. Job requires use of hands for repetitive action for the use of hand tools, machine switches and equipment operation and the use of feet for flexion/repetitive motion as in operating foot controls. The employee is required to continuously lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently up to 34lbs and occasionally up to 51lbs. The job requires employees to work on steps or ladders, uneven terrain, operate equipment and use tools. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to chemicals, noise, dust, change in temperature and cramped areas.
