Green Room Newsletter
Dear Parents:
October is here! This month we will be discussing fall and the changes that occur. We will observe the different
signs of fall, i.e. leaves changing color, animals preparing for winter, weather becoming cooler, and of course, pumpkins. With
the cooler weather arriving we will be wearing sweaters, caps, coats and eventually mittens to school.
Thursday, October 31st, will be our field trip to Stratford Living Center. We will meet at Stratford at 9:15.
The nursing home is located at 12340 Quivira Rd. (across from Overland Park Golf Course). Please have your child wear their
costume and bring a treat bag. We will have our fall party on our return to school. Moms and Dads are encouraged to attend
the party, but please make alternative arrangements for siblings. Also, please check with our Room Mother if you would like to
help plan our party. I am sure any help would be deeply appreciated. The children will still need to bring their lunch, as the
party will be over by 11:15 and they will stay until 2:00.
We are journaling, memorizing our Bible Verses, learning to sign many colors, letters, numbers, words, phrases and
songs! The Green Room is a busy place with lots of learning, loving and sharing happening everyday. We are enjoying your children.
