Valle Nevado Ski Resort sits at an altitude of 9,924 feet in one of the most extraordinary
settings in the Andes Cordillera of Chile. Several of Valle Nevado’s lifts, such as Tres Puntas,
take skiers as high as 12,041 feet. Altitude and the orientation of the resort’s skiable terrain
on the southern face of the Andes, provides optimal snow conditions. Valle Nevado’s
orientation, the best in the Southern Hemisphere, is ideal for maintaining snow in optimal
conditions. As well, Valle Nevado has an 85% of sunny days, yet the sun never shines directly
on the slopes in the afternoon, assuring that the natural conditions of snow remain
at its best.
Ideal natural circumstances however are not enough to ensure perfect conditions.
Valle Nevado also boasts of an efficient lift system, expertly groomed slopes, an excellent

Each morning a majestic sun rises to unveil
South America’s best ski runs. The Andes Express
chairlift, the fastest in the region, awaits. New for 2010
are lifts in Mount Valle del Inca and Ballicas, opening 5
brand-new ski runs and adding extra fun and pleasure
for you, and your friends and family.
Valle Nevado offers more than 2,200 acres of skiable
terrain of varying length and vertical drop, giving
beginners, intermediates and expert skiers plenty of
suitable terrain to enjoy.

Snow Park

of varying difficulty.
Bumps
If groomed slopes are not your

bump area, where you can test your
technique and balance.

Off-Piste
Pure freedom, pure emotion.
Nothing compares to the feeling
of fresh powder under your skis or
snowboard. Valle Nevado has some
of the most extensive off-piste
terrain both at high altitudes, where
it is just you and the mountain,
and in between our groomed runs.
Unlike many Northern Hemisphere
resorts, powder at Valle Nevado can
last for days given the ratio of skiers
to the resort’s acreage.
Heliski
Valle Nevado’s heliski service
lifts off directly from the resort.
Heliskiing gives skiers and
snowboarders access to unexplored,
awe-inspiring Andean terrain and
vertical drops of as much as 6,500
feet. Expert mountain guides
supervise every heliski trip and
provide participants with stateof-the-art safety equipment.

rented at Valle Nevado’s Ski Rental

Showing the Mountain Respect
Skiers and snowboarders should respect the mountain
to be able to fully experience and enjoy its grandeur. Our
guests should understand Valle Nevado’s skiing rules,
adopt safety measures accordingly, and use appropriate
equipment. An expert, seasoned ski patrol team can
provide assistance and information at all times on the
slopes.
Learn to enjoy the snow
Regardless if you are experienced and just seeking to
improve your technique or if you have never skied or
snowboarded, our ski school is here to help. The majority
of our ski and snowboard instructors are year-round
professionals who have spent most of their lives chasing
winter from one hemisphere to another, teaching at top
ski resorts around the world.
For children, Valle Nevado offers a Snow Garden and
“Magic Carpet” for ages 4 to 7. Parents can feel secure
leaving their children in an entertaining and safe
instructional environment led by true professionals.
Language is not a problem at Valle Nevado. In fact, our
team of more than 90 instructors speaks a wide variety
of languages. Our guests need to simply visit our ski
school and choose either group or private lessons, both
available every day for all levels.

Valle Nevado has more than 1,900 sets of ski and
snowboard equipment for adults and children, handled
by trained staffs that recommend equipment suitable
to your skiing level needs.

equipment if booked at the same time as the hotel
reservations.
We offer the latest tuning and repair technology for
both skis and boards. Nothing will prevent you from

Valle Nevado
Our ski-in, ski-out hotel: no one is closer to the mountain than you. The
hotel was remodeled in 2010 for a fresh look this season.
The Valle Nevado Hotel is the most exclusive and personalized of our hotels.
Guests walk out of the lobby and go directly on to the slopes. There are just
53 rooms, all with terraces that offer a panoramic view of the valley and the
resort, Wi-Fi is available in every.
Puerta del Sol
This hotel was remodeled in 2009 and is popular with families. There are
124 rooms with terraces, some of which are interconnected. Guests may opt
for either views of the resort and peaks or views of a plunging valley. All of
them feature postcard-worthy vistas, at just 164 feet away from the slopes.
The hotel offers direct access to a heated outdoor pool, ideal for relaxing
after an unforgettable day of skiing or snowboarding.
Tres Puntas
Valle Nevado’s most economical hotel has everything a skier or
snowboarder needs to have fun with family or friends. The hotel is just a
2-minute walk from to the slopes, and features a total of 91 rooms.

This recently renewed world-class restaurant is
Valle Nevado’s most upscale, serving gourmet,
Mediterranean-influenced cuisine with outstanding

Mesón de los Andes
Located in Hotel Tres Puntas, this restaurant serves
international cuisine à la Carte in a cozy setting to
satisfy the different preference of our guests.
Mirador del Plomo
Bajo Zero is located midway up the mountain. This
entertaining restaurant is perfect for enjoying a meal
or drink on a break from skiing. There is indoor and
outdoor seating with mountain views. Additional
charge applies.
Don Giovanni
One day of the week Valle Nevado hosts “Night
Dinners” at Bajo Zero, a very entertaining dinner that
allows guests to dine and then ski back to the hotel
through a path lighted by torches.
Located in Hotel Puerta del Sol, this restaurant
offers an antipaste and desserts buffet featuring
tailor-made dishes cooked exactly as per our guest’s
desires, including grilled meats and pasta.
Located next to the Bar Lounge, this exclusive
restaurant offers delicious, well-executed Italian
gourmet cuisine, and excellent service.
For skiers and snowboarders who don’t like to waste
a minute on having lunch. The Slalom, located at the
resort base, offers fast-food services.
The highest located restaurant in the Andes,
inaugurated in 2010 is on at the Summit of Valle
del Inca. The Mesón de los Andes looks forward to
welcoming skiers with a hearty menu of sandwiches,
soups and snacks. Weekends and holidays only.
Bar Lounge
The Bar Lounge has a direct connection to
Hotel Valle Nevado and is the perfect place to relax
after a great day of skiing. An exceptionally cozy
environment warmed up by a roaring fire, the lounge
has comfy couches, bar and food service. A great spot
for a before-dinner drink, too.
Bar Puerta del Sol
Recently remodeled and featuring lots of comfortable
couches and chairs, Puerta del Sol bar is the perfect
place to meet with friends and family after a day of
skiing in a warm and informal setting. Located in
Hotel Puerta del Sol, bartenders serve delicious national
and international cocktails, accompanied by a variety of
sushi.
Pub Tres Puntas
Cocktails, karaoke and dancing are the hallmark of
this bar. Located in Hotel Tres Puntas, it was fully
renovated in 2009 to provide live music, a pool table
and guaranteed fun.
Bar Valle Nevado
The brand-new Bar Valle Nevado features fine wines
and cocktails in an elegant ambience.

Kids Zone
Kids will find everything they need in the Kids Zone to
continue having fun. Nintendo Wii and top movies in
a theater reserved just for them, are just a few of the
activities we have conceived for the youngest in the
family.
Movie Theater

stereo sound and comfortable seats
will make you forget that you are at

MASTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Valle Nevado has announced an ambitious Master Plan beginning in 2010.
Valle aspires to be the first ski resort to differentiate by developing a
Mountain Village at the base of prime ski terrain. The village will provide
a wide supply of hotels and residences for skiers, families, and tourists in
general.
Starting in 2010, Valle Nevado is opening its new parking lot for day visitors,
with a total of 800 vehicles, located at a lower level of the resort’s hotel
complex. The parking lot will feature a ticket office, rental facilities, ski
school, stores, restaurant and general services. In 2010 a cable railway will
take skiers and tourists to our facilities at the mid-mountain point (near
Bajo Zero restaurants).
A total of 19 apartment buildings are planned during for next decades, with
approximately 861,000 square feet. Two current examples are
Valle de Condores I and II, which have proved to be a successful real state
mountain investment. These projects are the cornerstone of the mountain
village in the Andes.
Finally, and perhaps more important for skiers and snowboarders, is the
resort’s investment in new lifts and expanded terrain. This means an
expanding of the ski area by 815 acres, effectively providing skiers with the
largest skiable domain in South America.
