The first day of holidays. Dear Diary! It was the greatest day of this year, especially because it meant respite from the school. I enjoyed the upcoming holidays very much and waited for the day of departure really eagerly. Everything was great went and my holidays were exactly the same as I had expected. In the meantime, I have found some time to describe those moments. I got up very early, because it was 7: 00. I usually do not get up so early on holidays. The reason for such an early wake up was my departure. It was hard to get up from the bed but I managed. I stretched myself and I went for breakfast. My mum was preparing cereal with milk, while Dad was frying scrambled eggs and buttering slices of bread. I had to think about what to eat, because I was sure that I would not be able to eat up. The weather conditions were perfect, at least while we were at home. The Sun was shining firmly. It was enlightening the whole room and making it more cosy than usual. Despite the heat and the Sun, it was cool inside the house which satisfied me. I decided to eat the cereal with milk. My mum was hurrying me up constantly. She wanted me not to be late for the train. I already couldn't wait to go on holiday by the sea, so without any dawdling, I hurried up to eat everything that my mum had prepared. After breakfast I took shower quickly started helping my dad in cleaning after breakfast and packing our luggage. Packing is very important. As we don’t have the chance to take all our things, we have to choose those we need most of all. I did a list of things we want to pack, to make sure we don’t forget anything. When we were ready, we went out of the house and we locked the door. We start walking quickly in the direction of the railway station in order not to be late for the train. After arriving at the station, we bought tickets, and we were waiting for the train calmly. As we had some time left, I went to the store to buy a snack. The queue was not too long. I was so excited about the trip, that I did not that the time passed by and it was my turn to buy something. I was thinking for a while and finally I chose juice and salt sticks. Many people were going through the tunnel of the Terminal. Some were coming back from holidays, others just like me were leaving. One could feel the prevailing atmosphere of summer holidays by looking for people summer clothes, feeling the heat or just having a lot of free time. After doing some shopping, I went back to my parents who were already standing on the platform to continue waiting for the train. Finally, the train arrived. We got into one of the compartments and quickly found some free seats. Soon, the train began to move. It started slowly at the train station, and gradually began to speed up. I looked at the watch, It was 9:00 and there was a long way to go before us. The plan was to reach our destination in the evening. During the journey we had elbow room. We were riding in the first class compartment and we had a lot of ease. We were able to stroll through the hallway or go to the restaurant compartment in front of the train. The train was going faster and faster. We were leaving the city. We were passing tall buildings and residential areas. When those were over, could see some fields and forests from the window. The Sun was shining from the other side, so we were free to observe the scenery from behind the glass. The seats were very comfortable. I was glad that our train was modern. I had been expecting the old, huge and dirty, such as those whichvirtually always were crossing the railway station in our city. I was bored. In my mind arranging content postcards to friends. I wanted to remember them, but I had nothing to write on hand. I took the diary out of the backpack. I thought of my postcard design looks great memories: Dear… I know it has been a long time since I last wrote to you. I am really sorry but I haven’t had any time lately. I have got some great news for you. I am on holiday now. I am by the sea now. I have arrived on Monday and I am spending most of my time on the beach. The weather is great. Yesterday, I visited… . It was really fantastic. The food is excellent. I make a lot of fotos. That’s all for now… I greet… I liked what I wrote. I put the diary and I was bored on. I felt hungry. I looked through the available menus. I like to eat most things that other people eat but there are some dishes I don’t like. My favorite food is pizza. I like to eat pizza when I am in town, or homemade pizza when at home. I've never eaten pizza in the train. The best pizza for me is one with mushrooms, ham, cheese and ketchup. The best pizzas are the ones made in front of your eyes in typical pizzerias. The worst are the frozen ones which are only heated up in a microwave oven. Sometimes I make a pizza myself. I buy a ready-made pizza base and I put what I like on it: ham or sausage, onion, cheese and ketchup on top of it. I decided that I eat pizza. I waited a little long time. But I was happy with the meal that my journey prettier. Each minute we were getting closer and closer to our destination. We passed a few big stations. We crossed a few rivers. We saw wind power plants, farmlands, or garbage dumps. It was afternoon. The Sun was setting slowly towards the West. I was hoping that I could make to see the sun set over the sea. During the way I ate some sandwiches, pizza and chocolate ice-cream. I drank some orange juice and water. Nothing interesting happened. I did not want to read any books. I was tired of waiting and a little bored. I took a nap. I do not remember what I was dreaming of, I was just relaxing. All of a sudden I was awakened by my mom. She told me that we were getting off soon. I was overwhelmed by both: joy and disappointment that traveling by train is so tiring despite many advantages. Now, I was only looking forward to seeing the railway station. We got at the sea at 7: 30 p.m. When we got off the train, we headed to the exit of the station, then we went to our hotel. It was not worth calling the taxi because, the hotel was not far away. I was pleased by the fact that the sea and the beach were close to our place of stay. Soon we came. We confirmed the arrival in the reception and we went into the room. The room was large, triple. It seemed to be comfortable and had a nice bathroom. There was only large window through which we could see an artificial beach with sun loungers in front of the hotel and a lot of conifers. The sea was barely visible behind the trees. When we unpacked the sun was still shining. I didn't look at the watch because I wanted to hurry to the beach. Before, for five years in a row I had been going to the camps in the mountains. It was wonderful, although I needed some rest by the sea. We left the hotel. From the gate, there was a way straight to the beach. Walking towards the sea, we went in the coniferous forest. I had always wondered why did conifers grow on the shores of the sea. Finally, we ended up on the beach to watch the sea and enjoy the breeze. The sun was just setting. As the Sun set, I ate the last sandwich and I drank Coca Cola. A strong wind began to blow, so I went back to the Hotel. I was tired and I laid down to sleep. I was very happy with this day and I couldn't get enough of the upcoming days by the sea. A few more trips were waiting for me. I was wondering which one would be the best.
