Antarctique Solo: Mission accomplished and 7 records for Frédéric Dion
Montreal, January 5, 2015 - The adventurer speaker Frédéric Dion reached Hercules Inlet last Saturday
after a sprint of 627 km of kite skiing in 24 hours and 53 minutes despite winds reaching 100 km/h, ending
in 54 days and 6 hours the complete crossing of the Antarctica solo he began on November 10 from the
Russian Base Novolazarevskaya with 7 exploits in bonus.
"I was welcomed with champagne! And I took a real shower!", he explains, from the camp Antarctic
Logistics and Expeditions LLC where he went by plane Saturday, before flying to Chile on Sunday. Even
if the athlete faced many life treatening difficulties, he is back to civilisation healthy and the arms full of

Who is Frédéric Dion? Being decorated by the Governor General of Canada for the rescue of 9 Russian
skiers in the Alps, survive four days without water, food or equipment in the winter of Lake Mistassini,
find his way back to civilization after being dumped blindfolded in Northern Quebec without a map, GPS
or food, running 33 marathons in 7 weeks and browse thousands of miles over the ocean are just few of
the challenges Frédéric Dion survived. At 37, the adventurer speaker gave over 1000 conferences in the
Worldwide. He acts as a spokesperson for the Association des Scouts du Canada. Married to Caroline
Mailhot, psychologist, he prepares a motivational book with her about the "unitary thought".
