DAY1 Chicopee, MA Wed Oct 28
We begin our tour to Salem with a stop in
Fort Erie before crossing into the US and
making our way across the State of New
York and on to Chicopee MA for the night.
DAY 2 Wakefield, MA Thurs Oct 29
Breakfast will be included before we
continue our journey to Salem, arriving
mid morning. October is the perfect time
to visit Salem as they prepare for the annual
Halloween festivities. On arrival a local
guide will join us for tour of this historical
community, the perfect way to become

familiar with the town prior to your free
time. Listen as she details accurate history

of Salem, you’ll see the cemetery; hear
AMS about the Witch Trials and more! After the
tour you will be ready for lunch on your
own at one of the many venues. Later we
will meet and go as a group to the Witch
Museum. Presenting one of the most tragic
and enduring events in American History…
the Witch Hysteria of 1692, you will follow
the history of witches, witchcraft and witch
hunts through the ages and hear about
the events of the Salem Witch Trials of
1692. There are so many extraordinary
things to see and do. Later we check into
our Wakefield hotel for a two night stay.

DAY 3 Wakefield, MA Fri October 30
Relax over a leisurely breakfast this
morning as a later departure for Salem
is planned since we will be attending
Halloween Ball this evening. On return
to Salem, our first stop will be for a tour
of the House of the Seven Gables (built
1668). Hawthorne’s visits to this home are
credited with inspiring the setting and title
of his 1851 novel The House of the Seven
Gables. We will also tour Hawthorne
House (built 1750) and best known for one
famous inhabitant, Nathaniel Hawthorne.
The afternoon is free for you to explore at
your leisure. Follow the marked walkways
through the streets of Salem, visit the many
shops or hop on the Trolley (nominal fee)
for an enjoyable one hour journey through

downtown streets are closed to vehicular
traffic during this time allowing you to
wander more freely.

before the ball to allow you to get a bite
to eat and to change into your costumes.

DAY 4 Albany MA Sat Oct 31
After a leisurely breakfast, a short drive
takes us to the city of Boston. Here we
experience more of the areas unique
history on a guided tour highlighting such
sites as the Boston Common. There’s free
time to enjoy lunch and shopping at the
historic Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market.
For those interested, our guide will lead you
on a walk along a portion of the Freedom
Trail past the home of Paul Revere and the
famous Old North Church from where the
“One if by land, two if by sea” signal is said
to have been sent. Later we make our way
to Albany for our final night. (B)

After breakfast we set our sights on home
taking with us fond memories of this unique
