As Eliezer bears the horrors of the Holocaust, he encounters others along the way. Some of these

strengthen his desire to live. You must write a thesis statement that expresses this opinion, a body of two

At the beginning of "Night," a semi-autobiographical retelling of Elie Wiesel's early life, Eliezer is a boy of
14 who has known only the little Transylvanian town of his birth. However, Eliezer will soon experience
the horrors of the Holocaust in Nazi concentration camps. Here, even though he is interned for no more
than a year, Eliezer changes significantly. Write a multi-paragraph essay that argues that Eliezer loses his
innocence as revealed in his dehumanization, his deception of others, and his loss of faith. You must
