PRESS City of PuebloRELEASE Police Department K-9 Widget Sniffs Out 10 Kilos of Cocaine October 12, 2016 [FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] On Tuesday October 11th, around 8:30 PM, officers observed a maroon Saturn speeding North on I-25 near Pueblo Blvd. Upon the vehicle being stopped, officers obtained permission to search the vehicle. Using K-9 widget to conduct an open air sniff around the vehicle, the department K-9 detected the odor of illegal narcotics. The vehicle was relocated and searched. It was at that time 10 kilos of suspected cocaine was recovered from a hidden compartment. The illegal narcotic holds a street value of $1.1 million dollars. The driver, identified as Edgar Florez-Valenzuela (27), was arrested and booked in the Pueblo County Detention Center to face charges of Possession of a Schedule II substance with Intent to Distribute and has a $200,000 cash only bond. ### _________________________________________________ Sgt.
