Activity:
1. Introduce the page.
Caesar was speaking Latin after a battle.
He said, “Veni, vidi, vici.” That’s Latin.
Caesar spoke Latin. He was a Roman.
In English, this translates to: “I came. I saw. I conquered.”
Came, saw, and conquered are past tense verbs.
Are they regular or irregular verbs? How can we tell?
“Came” is irregular because came doesn’t end in -ed.
“Saw” is irregular because saw doesn’t end in -ed
Conquered is regular because conquered ends in -ed
