Trustee’s
O
n behalf of the FBIAA and
the Trustees of the Memorial
College Fund (MCF), we extend
our sincere appreciation to our Golf
Organizers, Sponsors and Volunteers.
In 2014, a total of $430,627 was
raised from 24 tournaments. These
Funds will continue to support the
educational needs of the children of
Special Agents who have passed away.
To date the fund has assisted 197
children, with 32 receiving assistance
for school year 2014-2105 which
totaled $518,000. The FBIAA hosted
the 1st G-Man Honors Charity dinner
to benefit the MCF. The keynote
speaker was Rudy Giuliani and was
attended by former Director’s William
Webster and Robert Mueller, as well
as current and former members of
Congress. Also in attendance were
former recipients of the Memorial
College Fund. The evening was a
success and raised over $100,000.
The Gala will take place again in the
fall of 2015.
Looking forward, there are 65
children that will be participating in
future scholarships and this number
will continue to grow. We can only
meet these challenges with your
continued support. Please see G-man
Charity photos on page 6. ●
THIRTEENTH ANNUAL LEONARD W. HATTON
MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC
T
he 13th Annual Leonard W. Hatton Memorial Golf Classic
was held on June 6, 2014, at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Colts
Neck, New Jersey. The Jersey Shore Chapter, SFSAFBI, along with the
New York and Newark Divisions of the FBI, initiated this fundraiser
in 2002 to honor and remember New York SA Leonard W. Hatton,
who perished on September 11, 2001. This year’s contribution
of $37,000 brings the cumulative amount donated to the FBIAA
Memorial College Fund to $373,200.
In recognition of the 70th anniversary of DDay, special
ceremonies were conducted prior to the start of golf, remembering
those who made the ultimate sacrifice on June 6, 1944, and all who
have served and are serving to defend our freedoms. We were
privileged to have as our special guest, Guido Dattaro, former U.S.
Navy WWII veteran and father-in-law of our organizing committee
member, Matt Heron (USMC). The attention and respect accorded
to Guido Dattaro by the attendees were spontaneously impressive and
very much appreciated by this special guest and family.
All 144 participants started out on a perfect golf day for a good
cause and also to renew deep friendships. There was no hole-in-one
winner, but we were fortunate to have two-year lease prizes available
for a 2014 Toyota and a 2014 Nissan sponsored by World Auto
Group.
Prior to the post-golf barbecue, comments of support and
remembrance were made by ADIC George Venizelos of the New
York Office, SAC Aaron T. Ford of the Newark Division, and Konrad
Motyka, former FBIAA President. We were also very pleased to

have Joanne Hatton address the group with thoughtful words of appreciation and personal comments on her recent
visit to the 9/11 Museum in New York City.
The success of the Hatton Classic over these years is only possible because of substantial efforts from all members
of the organizing committee and many volunteers, both active and retired; the consistent loyalty of our sponsors
listed below; and a multitude of contributors to our silent auction/raffle. The 2015 tournament will be held on
June 5, 2015.

guest that day), Matt Heron.

THE CHI CHI RODRIGUEZ G-MAN
DESERT SHOOTOUT
T
he 24th Annual Chi Chi Rodriguez G-Man Desert
Shootout was, by all accounts, a tremendous success.
Golfers competed for three days over three beautifully
manicured greens, the Classic Course, Mission Hills
Dinah Shores and the Indian Wells Country Club on
May 7 – 9, 2015.
The weather couldn’t be beat. Cool breezes made for
incredible golfing. The hospitality room was a buzz with
the kindling of old friends and the excitement of new
golfers joining us for the first time. The Awards Banquet
began with the operatic voice of Opera Star Rose Kingsley
who sang the National Anthem. Comedian Johnny A.
Sanchez provided gut-splitting laughter and Rey Tariche,
President of the FBIAA National Executive Board, provided
an update about the Memorial College Fund.
Sponsors, no matter what their title; foundations,
corporations, organizations are the backbone of a
successful fundraiser. They believe in our mission and have

THE BIG EASY GOLF CLASSIC
T
he Big Easy Golf Classic inaugural event was held
October 20, 2014 at Lakewood Golf Club in New
Orleans, Louisiana. Local weatherman and celebrity,
Bob Breck, helped emcee the event and brought with
him a gorgeous, humid-free day for a round of golf!
As golfers warmed up, they were able to test out the
latest and greatest addition to the New Orleans arsenal;
the mighty FBIAA Golf Ball Launcher! Once play got
underway, golfers enjoyed the classic Cajun cuisine of
poboys, red beans and rice, crawfish eggrolls, andouille
sausage and catfish beignets throughout the day and
during the awards ceremony. Thanks to those who came
out to enjoy the day and to our generous sponsors, the
Big Easy Golf Classic raised a total of $10,000 to benefit
the Memorial College Fund and CrimeStoppers GNO,
an organization helping to solve crime in the New
Orleans area through an anonymous tip line and reward
money. After such a successful first year, we hope for
an even larger turnout at our 2nd Annual Big Easy Golf
Classic on October 19, 2015!

THE 2014 GMAN JACKIE SHERRILL SHOOTOUT
T
he 2014 GMan Jackie Sherrill Shootout was held
at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas on May
5, 2014. This event, only in its second year, raised
over $140,000 for FBIAA Charities, Texas Scottish Rite
Hospital for Children and the 12th Man Kick Off Team
Foundation. A full field of golfers teed off on a perfect
Texas day after the traditional “flash bang” start to the
event. Coaches Jackie Sherrill and Gene Stallings
visited with each golfer prior to the start of play. Also
supporting the event were former Dallas Cowboy
greats DD Lewis, Tony Hill, Billie Joe Dupree, Ed “Too
Tall” Jones, Tony Dorsett, Roger Staubach and our
event auctioneer Randy “The Manster” White. 103.3
ESPN Radio broadcast the Fitzsimmons and Fredo
show live from this year’s event. A team of golfers
(ringers really) from our Federal partners – The Border
Patrol – won this year’s tournament with a very strong
showing. The Billie Joe DuPree / Ed “Too Tall” Jones
foursome took second place and DD Lewis’ team took
third. The Dallas GMan extends special thanks to
Mike Sisk and the Low-T centers; Ron Keating, former
CEO of Contech and current CEO of Evoqua, and Billy
Lemmons. Each of these men helped establish the
Dallas GMan event and ensure its success. We are
looking for bigger and better things in 2015 to build
upon the success of this fundraiser and are working
with 5.11 Tactical, Dr. Pepper / Snapple and Top Golf to
enhance the golfing experience of our players. Visit and
“Like” our new Facebook page – Gman Jackie Sherrill
Shootout – to see more photos of the event and to keep
up on the planning efforts for 2015. Special thanks to all
of the active Agent volunteers, retired Agent volunteers
and volunteers affiliated with our charity partners.
Special thanks is extended to our primary charity
partner – Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
and Ashley Givens who represents the hospital so
well. The Dallas Gman event is well organized and
run largely due to Ashley and her team. In addition
to the Sponsors listed above, the Dallas GMan would
like to recognize all other sponsors of our 2014 event.

THIRD ANNUAL G-MAN SHOOTOUT
T
he Miami FBI Agent Association teamed with the
NFL Hall of Fame and the FBI Citizen Academy to
host the Third Annual G-Man Shootout on the Beach.
The tournament was once again held at the Indian Creek
Country Club, a member’s only club located on Indian
Creek Island. This exclusive island has only 42 homes
and has a par 72 golf course on Miami Beach. The NFL
Hall of Fame dinner and Golf Appreciation luncheon
were huge hits and helped raised over $11,000.00 for
each charity. Next years tournament will be held at the
same location on October 30, 2015. ●

25TH ANNUAL SPECIAL AGENT ANTHONY L. CHRISTY MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
T
he Columbus Office of the FBI takes pleasure in announcing the 25th annual Special Agent
Anthony L. Christy Memorial Golf Tournament, and, it is again with a heavy heart we
continue to recognize Special Agent John Karnemaat who lost his battle with Huntington’s Disease
on November 5, 2007. On behalf of all individuals, corporations and businesses involved in the
FBI Golf Outing, we ask that you keep John’s wife Sheryl and daughter Carey in your thoughts and
prayers. As we have promised the Christy family over the past 24 years, it is our promise to keep
Tony’s spirit alive with this charity event.
Once again, the proceeds of this event will be utilized partially to fund the FFBIAA Memorial
College Fund for children of deceased Agents, and for the 17th year in a row, the tournament
will be funding the Huntington’s Disease (HD) Society of America, Inc. We had a successful 2014
campaign, as we were able to contribute $12,000 to our charities. This could not have been done
without all of the participants in last year’s golf event and especially all of our sponsors!
This year, we have once again partnered with The Golf Club of Dublin to put on our important event.
Information about the course can be found on our new website: www.tonychristymemorial.com. ●

SAC Duhadway for whom the event is named. Every October
some of the finest golfers in the Washington, DC region find the
time to come together for camaraderie and a great cause. One
hundred fifty-two golfers came together to see old friends, make
new acquaintences and raise funds for the FBIAA Memorial
College Fund. This year's tournament raised $20,000, with the
support of all our players, volunteers and sponsors, especially
DISCOVER, our GOLD Sponsor. The former ADIC and
Duhadway Tournament supporter, Jim McJunkin, was the
driving force behind Discover's Sponsorship. It is through
sponsorships like this that we hope to build this
tournament to be one of the largest in the
Washington, D.C. area. ●
A special thank you goes out to our Tournament
organizer for the last several years, SSA Jonathon
Snow, we wish him all the best as he transfers
across the country for a new assignment. ➤

FIRST ANNUAL G-MAN HONORS DINNER by Rey Tariche, President FBIAA
T
he first annual G-Man Honors Dinner was held at
the W Hotel, Washington D.C., on November 12,
2014. The event benefitted two of the most important
pillars of our association, the Memorial College Fund
and the Membership Assistance Fund. We gathered at
the G-Man Honors Dinner as part of a solemn mission
to provide crucial support to those confronting loss and
tragedy that too often accompanies the sacrifices that
Agents make to protect our country from criminal and
terrorist threats.
The FBI Family came out in full force to support the
G-Man Honors Dinner. Brick Agents, retired agents,
FBI leadership, Judge Webster, former Director Mueller,
Military leaders, Congressional leaders, private sector
companies and individuals all came out to support our
event. Although Director Comey could not attend, he
welcomed all by video to the G-Man Honors Dinner and
stressed the importance of the FBI Family.
Judge Webster, Rudy Giuliani, MCF Trustee Jean O’Connor
Next on the agenda was a moving video which was
prepared by the FBIAA to highlight the importance of
our two charities. I welcome you all to go to the FBI
AA website and view the inspirational video which
accurately depicts what the FBIAA and the FBI Family
stands for.
Finally, our key note speaker former Mayor Giuliani
gave an incredible speech which touched on service to
your country, the events of 9-11, and the FBI battling
criminals and terrorists. Following the speech, in
recognition of decades of leadership, support of the FBI
and public service the FBIAA presented a Distinguished
Service Award to former Mayor Giuliani.
Judge Webster, Rudy Giuliani, Tim Murphy
A special thanks to all who organized and supported
the event. Because of the hard work of all and generosity
of many, I am proud to announce that the first annual
G-Man honors Dinner raised over $100,000.00 for the
two FBIAA charities. ●
