homelessness and addiction have destroyed
their hope and self-esteem, it’s easy for them
to think there’s no way out of their desperate
situations.
But thanks to the compassion of friends like
you, at Goodwill Rescue Mission this Easter,
hunger can end – and hope can begin!

A Place of Peace
A Message from David P. Jones, President & CEO
O
ur chapel here at the Mission is a place
of peace and safety, a true sanctuary for
those looking for refuge from the danger and
loneliness of the streets.
Every day, words of encouragement and
hope are offered to men and women seeking
basic necessities.
You wouldn’t think that in today’s world, people would
have to fight for food and shelter. But they do. Every day,
homeless and struggling neighbors come to Goodwill Rescue
Mission for the help they need just to make it through another
day.
For many, the Mission is their last hope when they have
given up hope. Imagine what would happen to North Jersey’s
most vulnerable if you did not make it possible for the Mission
to be here.
In our chapel, many hurting neighbors experience the
peace of God for the first time – or in a long time! At the
Mission, they find a meal, safe shelter, helpful resources, and
the hope of a fresh start.
Our outreach to the homeless and hurting in North Jersey is
only possible because of the love and sacrifice of many people.
We couldn’t do without the faithful support of friends like
you. You help make the Mission a place of peace.

Broken and hurting men and women can
receive the guidance and care they need. At the
Mission, beginning with basic needs, hunger is
satisfied, shelter is provided, and God’s love is
shared every day.
And for those ready to transform their lives,
long-term faith-based residential recovery
programs are offered through New
York City’s Bowery
Mission, where
men and
women have
access to
counseling, addiction
recovery, education
and vocational
training.
We are so

Mission is the first step on the road to a restored life,
