GETTING THERE… BUS IS BEST
Arriving at T in the Park by shuttle bus or coach
will get you to the festival safely, quickly and
closest to the site, allowing you to save all of
your energy for the good times ahead. If you’re
not arriving by coach or bus, be prepared for the
walk from the car park or PUDO to the campsite
gates – when you’re packing leave the kitchen
sink at home!
• Expert facilities at your disposal at the
improved bus station now situated in a new
location, including toilets, food and drink and
people to help you.
• Tickets MUST be purchased in advance of
travel.
• If you are travelling from Scotland or Northern
Ireland you can buy your Citylink coach ticket
from their call centre on 0871 266 3333 or
online at http://www.citylink.co.uk/e_tpark.php
• If you are travelling from England or Wales you
can buy your Big Green Coach tickets at http://
www.biggreencoach.co.uk/events/t-in-the-parktickets-coach-travel. Tickets are available right
up until the day of the festival, sent to you as
an e-ticket.
• Citylink will run the shuttle bus service from
towns in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and
Dundee. More detail can be found: http://
www.citylink.co.uk/e_tpark.php. You can also
purchase from all Citylink travel centres and
appointed agents until the day of travel.
• To avoid long queues, you must travel at the
time stated on your ticket. Please only turn up
at the Bus Station 20 mins before your allocated departure time.
• Please note that the last day for posting out
travel tickets for T in the Park is Monday 27th
June.
PRIVATE COACHES
Whilst Citylink and Big Green Coach are the
official bus providers, the festival has advised private buses/coaches they must register their intention to bring customers to this year’s event or
risk being turned away. All companies must email
[email protected] for an accreditation
form, which then must be completed and sent
back no later than 25th June 2016. Minibuses
of 16 seats and under do not require to register
and can use the services of the car parks, where
a charge will apply or the Pick Up and Drop Off
point (PUDO).
NO WALKING ROUTES
Please note there are no walking routes into the
festival. You should not risk walking at the side
of the road or through fields. Anyone attempting
to arrive by walking along roads or arriving on
foot will be refused entry to the festival.
BY TRAIN
The easiest way to travel is by bus or coach but
should you want to catch the train, the nearest
station is Gleneagles. However there are very
limited services back to other cities late at night
from Gleneagles so please plan your journey accordingly. Please also note that Glasgow Queen
Street High Level tunnel is closed for essential
upgrading at the time of T in the Park. In addition
to impacting on rail travellers from Glasgow,
these works also require alterations across the
rail network so please see the ScotRail website
(https://www.scotrail.co.uk/QueenStreettunnel)
for further information on timetable changes and
the planned upgrades.
BY CAR
If you must take the car, then please car-share
where possible. Not only will your journey to the
festival be more eco-friendly, but you will have
friends to keep you company and chip in for fuel
as well. Car park tickets are only available to buy
on the day. Prices will be:
Weekend – £30
Day – £20
Minibus/Van – £50
Please note that unless you have a weekend
ticket, you will need to pay each time your
vehicle leaves and re-enters the car park.
CAR PARK RULES
•Everyone in your car must have a valid event
ticket to gain entry.
•No sleeping in vehicles
•No camping in car parks
•No vehicle movement between car parks. Minibuses/vans will be subject to search and will be
charged an additional parking fee.
•No bonfires or barbeques
•No forms of unauthorised entertainment
•No trading from vehicles or in car parks.
*Vehicles searches will be in place. If there is any
evidence of Car Park rules being broken access
to the festival may be refused and vehicles
removed. Make sure you familiarise yourself with
the Car Park rules.
PICK UP AND DROP
OFF POINT (PUDO)
•If you are being dropped off and picked up by
car or taxi (16 seats or under), you must use the
dedicated Pick Up and Drop Off (PUDO), sited
off the A823.
•From there, you will follow a dedicated walkway to the festival, with people on hand to help
you throughout. This path will be well-lit and
have toilets along the way.
•The scenic route will take around 30 minutes to
walk at a moderate pace, but depending how
heavy your bags are, could take you longer, so
come prepared with sensible festival clothing
and footwear!
•For when it’s time to head home, arrange a
reference letter with whoever is picking you up
i.e. “M” if your name is McDonald so you can
find them in the right area within the PUDO.
TRAFFIC SCOTLAND
There’s more to good journey
planning than jumping in the car
and hoping for the best! That’s
why we work with Transport and
Traffic Scotland to deliver up-tothe minute travel information for
festival-goers through special T in the Park
pages on the Traffic Scotland website.
Transport Scotland aims to make your travel to
the event as easy as possible. If you are making
the trip to Strathallan by car you are encouraged
to regularly check www.trafficscotland.org/titp
for the best routes possible, roads to avoid and
other top tips to make your trip hassle-free.
Traffic Scotland will also provide information on
how to get to the site by public transport and
details on how you can take advantage of park
and ride facilities.
We will also have @TITPinfo on Twitter providing
live travel updates over the festival weekend.
TIPS FOR TRAVEL
• We recommend you don’t travel before 10am
on Thursday and Friday to avoid the busy
commuter times
• Please ensure you follow the official Event
signs and not your vehicle Sat Nav directions
• Please only use the designated drop off points
on the A823.
• Always respect local residents when travelling
to and from the event.
• For entry to the T in the Park car park each person in the vehicle is required to show their full
festival ticket. Please retain it as you will need it
to enter the event
LOCAL RESIDENTS
Finally, please remember that our neighbours at
Strathallan Castle have welcomed T in the Park
to their beautiful area. Please be respectful of
them and their privacy when you are travelling to
and from the festival.

•ALL festival goers, whether weekend campers
or day ticketholders will be issued with a wristband on arrival.
•Campers and day tickets must enter one of the
three entrances. Day ticket holders must enter
through the day ticket lanes. Camping ticket
holders must enter through the campsite lane.
•You need your ticket and wristband WITH YOU
AT ALL TIMES. Checks will be in place all weekend. Failure to present a valid ticket along with
a camping wristband at any time could result
in you being asked to leave the event. Please
keep them safe.
•Tickets and wristbands will not be replaced
under any circumstances.
•Keep your ticket safe, dry and undamaged and
do not fold across the barcode.
•Only campers can move between the arena,
the campsite and the car parks.

non-camping ticket, so if you leave the arena
(even to go to the car park), you will not be able
to get back in.
HOW OLD R U?
•No Under 5s are allowed entry to the festival.
•Children under 16 must hold a full price ticket
and be accompanied by a guardian over the age
of 21 who will be required to provide suitable
proof of age and fill out a guardianship form to
accept responsibility for them at all times.
•Guardianship forms can be downloaded from
www.tinthepark.com/info. Please bring your
completed form with you and present it to staff
at the gates to prevent any delays.
•At our gates we will be asking anyone who
appears to be under the age of 21 to produce
valid identification.
•At our Bars and Be Chilled we will be operating
Challenge 25 where anyone who looks under
the age of 25 will be asked to produce valid
identification.
•Valid UK IDs must be photographic. The forms
of ID that will be accepted are: UK or Overseas Driving Licence, UK or Overseas Current
Passport, Uk only Expired Passport, Young Scot
card, Overseas Only Valid National ID card, 18

happy campers
Enjoy the world famous T in the Park campsite
ROAR!
This year’s T campsite is bigger, with more space,
better signposting, more lighting, more places to
eat and, of course, more opportunities to party
with additional campsite entertainment. There’ll
also be 24-hour help and information on hand
through dedicated zone managers for each
campsite.
A TENT IS FOR LIFE,
NOT JUST FOR T
PITCH UP, LOOK SHARP!
•Pitches are on a first come, first serve basis,
so if you intend to camp alongside friends, you
must arrive together.
•Please bring all your own camping equipment.
•Be prepared! Thursday campers will have
access to all camping areas.
•No camping in fire lanes – you will be made to
move your tent.
The Citizen T manifesto
encourages positive community behaviour including;
looking out for your friends
and fellow campers, binning your litter, taking
your tent home and ultimately having fun but
staying safe! We have a new dedicated Citizen T
campsite this year. Find out more at: tinthepark.
com/explore/citizen-t
NO GLASS
PHOSPHATE FREE SOAP
•Glass bottles/jars/containers over 100ml are not
permitted in the arena or campsite.
•If you are bringing food, drink and cosmetics
etc to the campsite, make sure you have no
glass bottles or containers over 100ml (drinks,
ketchup, perfume, aftershave etc).
•If you are bringing alcohol to the campsite
make sure it’s all cans or plastic – NO GLASS.
•All glass items, including over 100ml, will be
confiscated and not returned… you have been
warned!
COOKING DOS AND DON’Ts
Fires, barbecues and camping stoves are
prohibited for safety reasons. Anyone found
in possession of an unauthorised gas cylinder,
generator or camping stove may be asked to
leave the Event.
DISPOSABLE BBQS
Disposable barbecues can be used but only in
the fire lanes/walkways. Never use disposable
barbecues in your tent. Disposable BBQs give off
harmful Carbon Monoxide during and after use.
DO NOT take them inside your tent. Don’t use
under the influence of alcohol and always follow
manufacturer’s instructions.
There are hot food outlets and shops in the
campsite stocking everything you need to stay
fed and watered.
ERM, WHERE’S MY TENT?
It might seem like an obvious one but please
take note of which area you are camping in …you
may think your navy flowery tent is pretty cool,
but so did a whole load of other people who
purchased the same one! We’re ensuring the
campsite is better lit and signposted too, so that
you get to back to your tent safe and sound for a
good night’s sleep.
Please don’t leave your tent behind – take it
home and re-use it again this summer or at next
year’s festival – not only will you save money, but
you’ll be doing your bit for the environment too.
All tents left behind at T in the Park are non-recyclable and get sent to landfill NOT to charity.
CITIZEN T
Help protect the loch and it’s wildlife by only
bringing Phosphate free soap and shower gel
such as Ecover.
THE RESIDENCE
If you have already
bought your weekend
camping ticket and fancy
an upgrade in accommodation from a tent to
a luxurious Hotel Belle

the Park.

BE CHILLED
Tennent’s Lager’s Be Chilled is the quick and hassle
free way for T in the Park campers to pre-order
their cans of Tennent’s Lager or Magners Original
Cider online and then pick them up, ice cold, in the
campsite throughout the T in the Park weekend.
So, if you’re 18 or over and camping at this year’s
festival, you can pre-order your Tennent’s Lager or
Magners Original Cider for the festival weekend,
right up until noon on Thursday 7th July at www.tennents.com/bechilled and Tennent’s will have your
cans chilled and ready for collection in the campsite.
JOLLY GREEN SHERPAS
The Jolly Green Sherpas are an army of well-built,
friendly staff to carry or ‘Sherpa’ your luggage for
you. If you are struggling with your bags, instead
of hiring a barrow or trolley, you can simply come
to one of the well situated stands in the campsite
entrances and Pick Up and Drop Off point, where
a team of ‘Green Sherpas’ will be waiting to help
you! The Sherpa will then get you to the exact
spot that you wish to pitch your tent, no fuss!
HELP AROUND THE CAMPSITE
There are zone controls located throughout the
campsites, open 24 hrs a day which are managed
by the zone manager who will be wearing a burgundy tabard. If you need assistance, please ask.
No query is too big or small! T in the Park has an
excellent safety record and very low levels of crime,
however, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look
after yourself and your valuables as you would anywhere else! Please do not allow yourself to become
a victim by taking sensible precautions such as:
• Report anyone acting suspiciously to the nearest
Steward or member of staff
• Walk away from confrontation and seek help
• Register your phone
• Don’t leave valuables in your tent – keep your
wallet, ticket & wristband safely on your person
at all times
• The zone controls will have UV pens for marking your possessions
Plus there is a welfare tent in the campsite and in
the arena that you can go to with any problems
or if you’re looking for information. Make sure
you download the cartoon map now and get
to know our beautiful new home at Strathallan
Castle www.tinthepark.com.
DISABLED ACCESS FACILITIES
T in the Park works hard to be accessible to everyone. Please visit www.tinthepark.com/info and

PORTABLE PHONE
CHARGING WITH VOLT
Volt are back again in 2016,
to ensure you can continue to
charge your phone, all festival
long, without it leaving your
pocket. If you didn’t use Volt last year, here’s a
little refresher on how their portable charging
service works, and why it is such a lifesaver…
How it works:
•Rent a Volt Charger for the duration of the
festival, so you can charge your phone without
it ever leaving your pocket.
•Whenever the Volt Charger is empty, swap it for
a fully charged one.
•Before you leave the festival, you can either:
•Return your Volt Charger to one of the Volt
booths and get your £20 deposit back
•Pick up free cables from Volt, so you can use
your Volt Charger at home for the rest of the
year
•Book early for a discount: getvolt.co.uk/tinthepark
Open in the green campsite Thursday: 3pm-1am.
Friday-Sunday: 9am-1am.
Note it is closed Monday, so chargers need to be
returned by 1am Sunday evening.
Arena opening and closing times apply for
charge points within the arena.
CASH MACHINES
Cash machines will be available in the arena and
campsite, so don’t carry around more cash than
you need to.
•All bars and all merchandise stalls will accept
electronic payment in addition to cash
•Cards will be accepted via chip+pin or
contactless
•Pay by phone via applepay will also be available
•There will be NO minimum spend
•AND there will be no charge for using your card
FLARES & SMOKE CANISTERS
They are dangerous and have caused serious
harm to festival goers. Anyone found in possession of a flare, smoke canister or similar item will
be charged by the police.
LOST PROPERTY
There is a lost property station in the green
campsite.
Lost property opening times are:
Thursday: 4pm-12am
Friday: 8am-2am
Saturday: 8am-2am
Sunday: 8am-2am
Monday: 8am-campsite closes
TASTE T
Taste T replaces
Healthy T this year,
still bringing you gorgeous food to be shared
with good friends! No need to ditch the burgers
and chips, but if you’re a foodie craving some
fruit smoothies, veggie options, a juicy buffalo
burger or post-headliner hog, we’ve got you
covered. While you’re taking some time out to
relax and enjoy the sunshine, revel in lots of delicious grub, from wood fired pizzas and tempting
toasties to oysters and crepes.
Back this year by popular demand will be
Highland Hog Roast, Happy Crepes, Perthshire
Farmers and Loch Fyne Oysters, amongst other
favourites, with awesome eats from Rissotto2go
and Tasty Tatties & Bites.
safe and sound
Just like you have to stay safe whenever you visit
a new place, make sure you do the same at the
festival. It really is a great place to be, so let’s
keep it that way!
•Look after your mates - go to a zone control for
help or a steward if you need assistance
•Stay with friends and people you know and
arrange a meeting point in case you get lost.
•Always let friends know where you’re going
and who with. In order to help you find your
bearings check out tinthepark.com for a cartoon map.
There are stewards and police on site – please
talk to them about any concerns that you have.
• Steward staff and police are there to help you
and each one has their own unique identifying number if you need to speak to the same
person again.
•You will find them roaming through the campsite and at Zone Controls.
•If you want to pass confidential information
anonymously call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
KEEP YOUR VALUABLES SAFE
Only bring essential items, and it goes without
saying, don’t leave anything of value in your tent.
There are lockers in the campsite for you to hire
to keep your belongings safe. Available to book
in advance for £16 from www.lockerhouse.co.uk
– please book now to avoid disappointment.
There will be a limited number available to hire
over the weekend if you don’t buy in advance.
Please ensure your valuables are fully insured.
[Still waiting on locker info for this year!]
Please note: the locker sizes are 25cm wide x
15.5cm deep x 10cm high – so they are the right
size for small valuables (mobiles, wallets, cameras etc). The lockers also offer USB charging
allowing you to charge your phone or camera
provided you bring a cable with you.
REHYDRATE…
It’s thirsty work so do make sure you take advantage of the free water available from the drinking
points dotted around the arena and campsite. It’s
handy to keep an empty plastic bottle with you
so you’re topped up throughout the day.
No liquids, including water can be brought into
the arena. Free water at water points.
REFUEL…
Eating is not cheating!
Why run on empty when there’s this lot and more
to choose from? The culinary delights include
a hearty portion of Pie & Mash, freshly cooked
Venison Burgers, and a good old Scottish Fish
and Chips! Also, if you’re looking to treat yourself,
why don’t you indulge in something sweet? There
will be mouth-watering freshly baked doughnuts,
churros, pancakes, milkshakes and more.
RESPONSIBLE DRINKING
•If you are under 18, you can’t drink alcohol anywhere at our festival, including the campsite.
•If you’re caught with alcohol, we’ll have to take
it off you and make arrangements to send you
home.
•If you are over 18 and you supply an under-ager
with alcohol then you’ll also be sent home.
•If you are lucky enough to look youthful (i.e.
under 25)… don’t take any chances, bring
photographic ID*. We will be enforcing the
Challenge 25 policy, festival bars will ID you if
you look under 25.
•If you do drink, don’t do drunk! Excessive drinking is bad for your health and your memory
– surely you want to remember T for the right,
not the wrong reasons. Don’t take the risk of
ruining your weekend. We want everyone to
have a good, safe time by acting responsibly.
LOOK AFTER YOUR HEARING
•Take sensible precautions such as giving your
ears regular breaks from loud music, and don’t
stand too close to the speakers!
•If you really like to be down the front, then you
can also wear special reusable ear plugs designed for gigs. Disposable earplugs available
from the welfare tent in the arena. More info at
www.dontlosethemusic.com
DRUGS
Drugs are no more legal at festivals than they
are anywhere else and the same penalties and
risks apply. Legal & Herbal highs are also not permitted at the festival, although classed as legal
these drugs are still extremely dangerous and
can have fatal effects especially when mixed with
alcohol. Legal doesn’t mean safe.
If anyone is found in the possession of drugs,
legal/herbal highs you will be treated as in
possession of illegal drugs and will be arrested
or refused entry to the Event. Festivals and large
crowds can be disorienting experiences; this is
not the place to be experimenting.
WELFARE
T in the Park prides itself on having a great welfare service available for you to use, should you
need additional support during the event, to help
you make it back to the good times. We provide
general welfare, ranging from lost & found
people, sexual health information, drug & alcohol
awareness and support as well as practical
assistance, information and advice from a team
of caring and approachable individuals. Your
personal information will remain confidential at
all times. Welfare can be found in the Arena and
Campsite.
Remember there are also security staff and
police throughout the event who will also be able
to assist you.
GREEN T – KEEP STRATHALLAN
BEAUTIFUL
T in the Park is an environmentally friendly
festival. The festival is recognised by a number
of leading bodies, such as A Greener Festival,
Yourope, The European Festival association and
Julie’s Bicycle for its work to keep Strathallan
Castle beautiful and develop new eco-initiatives.
LITTER
Each campsite will have a dedicated recycling
point ... PUT IT IN THE BIN!
RETURN YOUR CUPS – WE’LL
RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT
Each drink sold on site includes a 10p deposit, charged for your plastic cup. Once you’ve
enjoyed your drink, take your cup to the cup
recycling points around the festival and we will
give you a shiny new 10p!
WATER
Please don’t waste water. Respect the environment,
turn off the taps and only take what you need.
TOILETS
There are toilets situated throughout the Arena
and Campsite, so please use them and not the
ground! Please leave them as you would expect
to find them – please don’t put anything other
than toilet roll (not even baby wipes) down the
toilet or you will block them. All blocks will be
segregated into male and female sections and
will be manned by cleaners 24 hours a day.
Day Ticket holders will be able to buy single entry
tickets to Refresh for £5.00 giving you access to
flushing toilets and the Pamper Tent. Single entry
tickets will be available to buy on site from the
Refresh Box Office
T IN THE PARK COMES BUT
ONCE A YEAR, SO MAKE IT A
WEEKEND TO REMEMBER!
With more than 200 acts playing over the weekend,
you will need to be at your best and here are a few
easy things you can do to make sure you and your
mates get the most out of the experience.
Watch your alcohol intake and drink plenty of
water. Don’t forget breakfast, lunch and dinner, as
you clock up more miles than you realise during
the busy festival day.
By keeping an eye out for yourself and your
friends, by eating well and not overdoing it you’ll
feel much better, see loads more bands, and be
able to last the pace.
and finally because…
we love a good list!
