Things change, that is the reality, and the question we explore as we begin
2015 is how education has changed.
The question of how education has changed depends on how we look at
education as a whole. Education means a form of learning in which knowledge
and skills are transferred through teaching, training, and research. Many
people agree that in order to improve your life, education is vital. However,
the advent of technology in the 21st century has dramatically changed the
ways in which we communicate and very few educators would disagree
with the notion that technology has dramatically changed the teaching and
learning process.
Communication methods have changed and instead of talking we text,
blog, tweet, and use social media. Black boards have become redundant
with the surge in iPads, smart phones and laptops. Gone are the days of using
a dictionary or an encyclopaedia as we simply Google or Bing to ind the
answers we need.
Academy of York has embraced these changes in education and we
