Village, Salem and Dt of TamilNadu. The college campus is 7 km away from Salem
Town..
Kevi Women’s of Education, sponsored by Kevi Educational Trust, started its
functioning from the year 2006. The college is recognized by the Government of
Tamil Nadu, approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education, New
Delhi) and affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. The
course offered by the college is B.Ed., ( Bachelor of Education) with one year
duration.

community oriented extension activities such as temple cleaning, tree plantation, adult
literacy programmes, awareness oriented lectures, skill development programmes, mass
rallies on environmental awareness, cultural activities, etc., in the villages around salem
taluk.
Challenges faced by the Institution in building the quality Education
a.
The College is located in rural area and most of the students are from villages. In
general, rural girls are demotivated for higher studies by their parents and society for
the reason the girls have to travel long distance to the college and lack of transport
facility from their livelihood. In order to motivate the rural girls and their parents, the
college has arranged college bus facility to collect the students from their door steps.

Our Kevi Women’s College of Education was started in the year
2006-2007 B.Ed with the strength of 100 students and M.Ed Was
started in the year of 2010-2011 with the strength of 35 students.
Its growth has been gradual and steady and how it has
phenomenal student strength of 135. The quality, vision mission,
goals, policy and students charter of the institutions are
communicated to the students, Teachers and stake holders
through the college prospectus, college website, calendar and
advertisement. At the time of admission, the above said norms
are explained in the class room to the students.
The college offers undergraduate educational programm based
on professional employment. The students are free to choose 7
types of elective subjects. The program offered by the college
aims at providing high quality with best infrastructural facilities
and modern education technology.

value added course which has one paper is Environmental
Education. It gives basic knowledge of environmental awareness
to the students. Another our valuable paper is Guidance and
counseling it acquire the psychological problem solving me
thuds.
The TNTEU had designed the National level employment
potential in certain disciplines like Educational Technology like
Language.( Tamil, English), mathematics, Physical Science,
Biological Science, History, Computer Science, Economics and
commerce. The students are given more importance on ICT.

i. Admission to the B.Ed course, candidates should have passed
U.G degree, with 10+2+3 stream. The candidates are eligible for
admission to the B.Ed into have the main subject in part III as the
same.
ii. It the candidates have more than one subject main in part III of
the U.G to apply for B.Ed. select on optional only
iii. Candidate who have passed U.G Degree in applied chemistry
Bio-chemistry, Bio-Science and applied physics can apply B.Ed
for physical Science as optional.
iv. Biological science as optional in B.Ed for the candidate who
released environmental science or Microbiology in their U.G.
v. Minimum qualification for B.Ed is 45% of average marks in

collected about their wards performance. It the mentors
find that the performance of the students is snot up to the

There are many feed back mechanisms followed:
• Parents, teachers meetings are held monthly once.
• In the preparation of Alumni meets many feed backs were heard over
and rectified.
• Through suggestion box many need have been rectified.
• All the grievances are heard from the students and solved by the
grievance cell
Major problems are dealt in the meeting within the principals and
