Customer Overview
A manufacturer of household items had a unique
requirement to insert parts at an angle. Following the
installation of a new purpose built machine to do this,
additional technology was required to ensure the
accuracy of insertion.
MSA Solution
The application required tips to be inserted into toilet
cleaning bottles by a rotatable head. To streamline this
process, the machine was fitted out with sensing,
indication and safety equipment.
The Banner SLM Slot Sensor was the ideal solution to
accurately position the bottles for the insertion of the
tip. The Slot Sensor features beam guides to simplify
installation and alignment.
To enhance the solution, Banner T18 and QS30 Fixed
Field Sensors track bottles in the hopper and
conveyors.
To ensure safe operation of the machine, Banner
Safety Light Curtains were installed to prohibit access
to dangerous parts of the machine.
The final result is a fantastic machine that has
increased productivity and reduced spoilage.
