Euro 2016 Fundraising Challenge www.rpfightingblindness.org.uk Welcome to the RP Fighting Blindness Euro 2016 Challenge Fundraising Pack. In it you will find all you need to take part in some UEFA Euro 2016 activities while raising money for the charity. RP and related inherited retinal dystrophies are recognised as the leading cause of certifiable blindness among working age adults in England and Wales, affecting about 25,000 people in the UK. There is currently no available cure or treatment. RP Fighting Blindness provides information and support for all those affected by an inherited retinal dystrophy. The charity is also one of the leading funders of research into this area in the country, providing funding into the causes and potential treatments, encompassing cutting-edge projects at research centres across the UK. This fundraising pack includes many different challenges including a quiz, a sweepstake, spot the ball and more - there’s even something for those who aren’t into sport. Whether it’s in the office, at the local pub or with family and friends, this pack will help you put the fun in fundraising! Also included in this pack is a certificate which can be personalised for each competition and winner. Simply print it out and write in the winner’s name and the competition they won. Don’t forget to decide on prizes for the winners. Here are some suggestions: In the office – can the boss give the winner a day off work? At the pub – will your lovely landlord donate free drink(s) Percentage of the cash from the entry fees. We would love to hear all about your activities this summer! Send your stories and photos to [email protected]. Likewise, if you have any queries regarding the activities or content Emily would be pleased to help.
