PATHOS | EMOTIONAL APPEAL:
• Include vivid anecdote
• Incorporate inductive reasoning (moving
from the specific to the general—think:
“scientific method”—what is understood
through observation)

• Use deductive reasoning (moving from the
general to the specific—a set of “valid”
