WILD BIRDS PROTECTION

1. This Act may be cited as the Wild Birds Protection
2. For the purposes of this Part, the expression
means any bird specified in the Schedule.

3. Any person who knowingly kills or wounds or attempts to ~ing.~~

4. Any person who has in his possession the dead body or any ~aving.it~

to a penalty of $100 for each dead body or part of a dead body, to be pzF;,pf,
recovered in a summary manner before a magistrate on the 1g78-27 *
information of any person and paid one-half to the informant.
5. (1) The skin and feathers of any wild bird are hereby
prohibited to be exported from Barbados,
(2) Where any skin or feathers of any wild bird are exported, the
person who exports such skin or feathers shall be liable to a penalty
of $250, to be recovered in the manner and by the person specified
in, and to be distributed as is provided by, section 4.

the purposes of natural history shall be entitled to kill the same for
such purposes on obtaining a licence to do so from the Minister.
