User Accessibility Fischer is committed to creating products and services that are broadly accessible and contribute to the productivity of the persons who use them, including users with disabilities, hearing or vision loss. Fischer products and services conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. WCAG guidelines are very similar to Section 508 guidelines and are expected to replace those in Section 508 since the older guidelines do not apply to some of the newer technologies. Fischer solutions enable content to be presented in multiple ways without losing meaning, including presentation by assistive technologies, which makes it easier for users to see and hear content. Text alternatives are provided for non-text content. Users of assistive technology can complete forms as well as use information in the forms. All functionality is available from a keyboard and enough time is provided to read and use the content. Text is readable and understandable, operates in predictable ways and helps users to avoid and correct mistakes. The use of WCAG also provides compatibility with current and future user tools. The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for Fischer Identity™ is provided on the pages that follow. VPAT™ Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® Version 1.3 The purpose of the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template, or VPAT™, is to assist Federal contracting officials and other buyers in making preliminary assessments regarding the availability of commercial “Electronic and Information Technology” products and services with features that support accessibility. It is assumed and recommended that offerers will provide additional contact information to facilitate more detailed inquiries. The first table of the Template provides a summary view of the Section 508 Standards. The subsequent tables provide more detailed views of each subsection. There are three columns in each table. Column one of the Summary Table describes the subsections of subparts B and C of the Standards. The second column describes the supporting features of the product or refers you to the corresponding detailed table, e.g., “equivalent facilitation." The third column contains any additional remarks and explanations regarding the product. In the subsequent tables, the first column contains the lettered paragraphs of the subsections. The second column describes the supporting features of the product with regard to that paragraph. The third column contains any additional remarks and explanations regarding the product.
