...that we welcome you to
Afternoon Tea at The Park Regis Hotel.
The creation of this thoroughly English institution is credited to a lifelong friend
of Queen Victoria, Anna Maria Russell, who was looking for a means of avoiding
hunger pangs in the long gap between an early lunch and a late supper.
At The Park Regis we have created an experience observing this delightful aspect
of our nation’s culinary heritage for the best part of 150 years. Our Executive
Chef has remained faithful to the classic combination of finger sandwiches,
scones served warm, and sweet pastries accompanied by a remarkable selection
of wonderful loose leaf tea. Our ingredients are painstakingly sourced, skilfully
prepared and served fresh each day.
The centrepiece of afternoon tea is, of course, the drink itself. We have scoured
the world to bring us delicious tea from a small bespoke tea producer. We have
carefully selected teas that will complement your food perfectly and all our tea is
prepared and poured at your table to your preferred strength. Your afternoon tea
is served from a specially designed stand.
Over the next few pages you’ll discover the degree of care that goes into
each cup of tea and morsel of food as well as some surprises that make

Ridgways Royal Blend -
a “Park Regis bespoke blend” Blended Black Leaf
Our signature Ridgeways Royal Blend is a fusion
of second flush Assam teas from the finest tea
gardens in India. Exquisitely smooth and fullbodied, warm brown leaves, flecked throughout
with golden tips, producing a rich and malty cup.
Earl of Grey -
Scented Black Leaf
Earl of Grey tea defines how Earl Grey should
taste. Made from a base of exceptional whole leaf
Ceylon scented with bergamot oils fermented
in Limoncello barrels and sprinkled with
cornflowers to create a tea that delights all the
senses.
Darjeeling First Flush Black Leaf
The Champagne of all teas. Our Indian Gielle
spring first flush is extremely refreshing and
fragrant with a sweet and soothing taste. The
perfect spring or summer afternoon tea.
Smokey Russian Caravan Scented Black Leaf
Richly and smoulderingly smoky yet with
great harmony and wealth of aroma, leaving
an impression of almost peaty warmth, a tea
with a sense of adventure!
Green Teas:
Dragonwell Green Leaf
Dragon Well Green Tea handpicked and fired
in the gardens of Zhanjia, offering the perfect,
classic balance of hazelnut sweetness and
refreshing spring freshness.
China Jasmine Green Leaf
Our Jasmine tea is composed of the most
perfectly balanced spring hand picked Chinese
green tea, scented with fresh jasmine blossoms
for a delicate and memorable cup.
Herbal and Fruit Teas:
African Rooibos Red Bush
Our Rooibos red bush caffeine free herbal
infusion is soft and tangy, with a hint of bitter
Seville orange and a biscuit aftertaste. Rooibos is
the perfect match of health and exquisite flavour.
Mojito Mint -
Blended Herbal Leaf
Peppermint combined with the calming
freshness of lemongrass and the subtle
sweetness of blossoms. A delicious, soothing and
refreshing tonic, fantastically invigorating for
anytime of the day.
Camomile Blossom Blended Herbal
Whole Egyptian camomile blossoms rubbed
with Spanish lavender is the perfect pairing. The
honey-like camomile combined with lavender
produces an infusion with fragrance and
sweetness.
Red Berry Burst Blended Fruit
A deliciously rich berry explosion both in flavour
and colour. Enjoy its sweet and slightly tangy
fruit taste, packed full of goodness. Its intense
fruity aroma is like pure summer sunshine all
year round.
