If there are no leaks evident, the tractor may be returned to service. Check around the cap and on the sides of the master cylinder for evidence of brake fluid (See Fig. 1). Figure 1. 2. Remove the master cylinder cap and check the fluid level (See Fig. 2) . Figure 2. 3 3. If there are signs of leaking brake fluid, add brake fluid as necessary to the master cylinders, to within 1/8” from the top. Then, install the new master cylinder reservoir cap. 4. Save the old cap. These must be returned to Bosch Corporation for analysis. 5. Record the date code. The date code is a 4 digit number located on the end of the barrel of the master cylinder (See Fig. 3). Figure 3. 6. Fill out a Tug Warranty Claim sheet. Note the date code of the master cylinder on the sheet. 7. Return the master cylinder cap with the Tug Warranty Claim sheet to: Attn: Bill Raby Robert Bosch Corporation 375 North Belevedere Drive Gallatin, TN 37066 D. Preparation for use: 1. Reconnect the battery. 2. Bleed brakes as necessary to remove air from the brake lines. To bleed the brake system, make sure the master cylinder is full. One person must open the bleeder valve, while a second person depresses the brake pedal one full stroke. The person at the bleeder valve should close the bleeder valve, then allow the pedal to return slowly to the released position. Allowing the pedal to return too quickly may draw air into the system. Continue operating the pedal in this manner until one cylinder if bled. Refill the master cylinder and go on to the next cylinder or caliper. 4 3. If problems persist, contact Tug Warranty E-Mail: [email protected] Phone: 1-800-989-8499 . If the brakes operate properly, return the tractor to service. 5
