Throughout Lent we’ve been hearing how Jesus explained the reason for his coming, to save us from the slavery of sin. The more we accept and understand the mystery of our Lord’s unfailing love for us, the more we want to get closer to him. It is, as the prophet Jeremiah said, written on our hearts. We understand what Jesus was trying to tell his disciples because we know about his passion, death and resurrection. But we sometimes forget the message of the Gospel delivered by Christ. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. God is with us and we only have to approach the Son to know the Father. May the love we experience empower us to turn our hearts over to God!
