Geologic databases - Geologic map 1.50M and 1.250M (ETRS89)
Database - 1:50.000 geologic map (mgc50mv01_etrs89, 2015)
Vector information "Geologic map of Catalonia 1:50 000" consists of two shapes
corresponding to the two geometries approached map (polygons and lines).
This information is the result of work done in order to have a geological synthesis,
continuous and referred to the topographic base at the time, from the information
available and published sheets of the MAGNA series.
To symbolize file included layerfile (mgc50mv01.lyr) that loads data and symbolization recommended. And the library
of styles ESRI (mgc50mv01.style).
The geodetic reference system data is distributed in ETRS89.
The shape file mgc50mv01p_etrs89 corresponds to polygons that represent geological units.
It contains the following fields:
EPI_UC_50M: It corresponds to the acronym of the geological unit map
ERA: Geological Era of unity
PERIODE: Period of geologic unit
EPOCA: Geologic time unit

DESCRIPCIO: Description of the unit

polygon shape obtained by generalization of geologic units 1: 250 000 added in 39
groups according to their lithological characteristics petrological, mineralogical and
geochemical.
