Bataille Navale: Negation
Directions: Mark your boats by coloring in the boxes for each size boat. Then you will work with a partner to
play the game. The person who’s first name starts with the letter closest to Z goes first. Player 1 picks a
pronoun and a nationality and creates a negative sentence using être. The partner looks at the corresponding
box where the 2 boxes intersect and looks to see if they have a boat there. They let their partner know if it was
a hit, miss, or if their boat is sunk. Then the players switch roles.

Je suis… Poster
Directions:
Step 1: Create a list of 15 different adjectives that describe you and your personality. Use the ones we
learned in class, but out of the 15 required, you must look up 5 new adjectives that we haven’t learned. Use
wordreference.com to help you! Don’t use Google Translate for this assignment!
Step 2: Get your list approved by Madame! Your list should have the French and the English on it with all
words spelled correctly! Once approved you can start creating your poster!
Step 3: Create a poster. A picture/drawing of you should be in the middle. Then write the adjectives around
you. Each adjective should be spelled correctly and should have a picture to represent the meaning of the
adjective. NO ENGLISH ON THE POSTER! Madame has some poster paper for you if you need it.
Step 4: Create a video of yourself presenting your poster in French.
Upload your video to your Google Drive.
Turn in your video to the assignment on Haiku.
Take a picture of your poster and turn in the picture on Haiku as well.
Grading: This assignment is worth 55 points
15 points for the adjectives (spelling, gender agreement)
15 points for the images that go with the poster (drawn well, represents each adjective correctly)
10 points for neatness and effort (colored, printed or written neatly, clear that you took your time)
15 points for your video (pronunciation!)
(Your rough draft of adjectives is a separate 5 point completion grade!)
