FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Contact: Bob Ries 5500 Nevil Pt. Brentwood, TN 37027 615 244 3967 [email protected] REPUBLICAN CHAIRMAN BOB RIES CHALLENGES MR. KAHN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – August 3, 2016, As Chairman of the Davidson County Republican Party and as a Military Veteran with a Disability, I will state that Mr. and Mrs. Kahn’s loss of their son is irrelevant to the absolutely political hatchet job Mr. Kahn performed on Donald Trump. I don’t believe Mr. Kahn wrote that speech, and he clearly does not understand the US Constitution that he accused Donald Trump of not reading. Mr. Kahn showed his ignorance of the Constitution with his references to “Liberty” in the Constitution. The word “Liberty” appears in the “Preamble” of The Constitution, which states in part: We the People of the United States, in order to ---------- secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of The United States of America. It is very clear, that the United States of America was established for the protection and benefits of the Citizens of the United States only. The Preamble clearly states the protections of justice, domestic tranquility, common defense, general welfare and blessings of liberty were established for ourselves and our posterity. The Constitution does not extend these protections to foreign citizens, including potential refuges. These are not my words. These are the words of George Washington and all those participating in the Constitutional Convention that he chaired. Because of the potential threats to the domestic tranquility and the loss of liberty to United States citizens by the influx of some Moslem Refuges into our Country, bringing with them diseases (we already know some are infected with Tuberculosis) and possible ISIS murderers, this program must be stopped until we are assured these refuges are healthy and contain no Islamic terrorists. Whoever is President of the United States is charged by the Constitution to adopt this philosophy as dictated in the Preamble. Where are the leaders of the Republican Party who should be defending and supporting Donald Trump, the only person in the world who can prevent Hillary Clinton from appointing the next 2 to 5 Supreme Court Justices? In her acceptance speech, Hillary Clinton openly stated she would appoint Supreme Court Justices that would support her liberal goals, which is not the Constitutional responsibility of a Supreme Court Justice, and therefore in violation of her Presidential Oath. In my opinion, every Republican, Independent and even Democrat who truly believes in the intent of the existence of this Nation, should come to the defense and support of Donald Trump in this matter. Mr. Kahn should be publically taken to task, not for the loss of his son, but for his unconscionable political hatchet job on Mr. Trump.
