Performance Products
EMPICOL® VBS D series
Predominantly based on Vegetable derived Ingredients
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Formulated around a combination surfactants/solvents derived from
natural, renewable feed-stocks
All components are readily biodegradable and with low aquatic toxicity
High active level concentrated blends
Majority of components required for consumer products
Only requires addition of minor constituents and dilution
Saves formulation time and warehouse storage space
Ideal for I&I janitorial and food service companies want a dilutable concentrate
EMPICOL® VBS D30 and EMPICOL® VBS D30 A
EMPICOL® VBS D30 series can be used as degreasers for hard surfaces, as is or upon dilution
•
EMPICOL® VBS D30 has been developed to give the best performance at neutral pH
•
EMPICOL® VBS D30 A has been designed for alkaline pH
•
Both the products are based on non H400 (old R50) components
•
Both the products are super-concentrated (greater than 85% of active content)
•
92% of the active ingredients are derived from vegetable origin feed-stocks
•
EMPICOL® VBS D30 has no appreciable gel phase

Viscosity / Concentration Profile:
EMPICOL® VBS D30 has a low viscosity profile at all
the dilutions, while EMPICOL® VBS D30 A when
diluted from 25 to 75% in water shows viscosity
increases with a maximum level at ca 50% in
water.

EMPICOL® VBS D30 and VBS D30 A are both micro-emulsions and their composition have been
optimized in order to have stable solutions especially at higher concentrations.
Degreasing Performance – Tar Test
Test Method:
A defined quantity of EMPICOL® VBS D30 and D30 A
aqueous solutions have been put on a Steel plate soiled
with a Tar solution (Bitumen based paint for surfaces waterproofing). After fixed time the soil has been removed using
sprayed tap water, cleaned gently with a paper towel and
rinsed with water.
Efficacy on baked corn oil
Degreaser based on EMPICOL® VBS D30 A matches
the performance of a Professional Degreaser
Test Method:
At RT, a defined quantity of
each formulation has been
applied on a stainless steel
tile soiled with baked Corn
oil.
The formulations have been
left on the tiles for 5, 15, 30,
60 min, then rinsed under
tap water, gently mopped 3
times and rinsed again with
distilled water.
Emulsification Power at RT
Test Method:
A defined quantity of hydrophobe is mixed with aqueous solutions of EMPICOL® VBS D30 , D30 A and a dLimonene based Cleaner. After 30', 60’ and 180’ the value of the lower aqueous layer is recorded. The lower is the
aqueous layer, the higher is the emulsification power.
The Emulsification Power of VBS D30 series is more
Hydrophobe
effective than the d-Limonene based degreaser on
HLB
Olive Oil. On White Mineral Oil, VBS D30 A has

similar performance than the d-Limonene based

degreaser.
