Automation and Common Appearance:
from the photo to the print with GMG ColorMaster
The unique GMG ColorMaster RGB workflow and the associated GMG ColorMaster color space permit reliable,
automated creation of media-neutral data without compromising on quality.
A media-neutral workflow needs just a single color space: GMG ColorMaster
The GMG ColorMaster color space is used in visualization as the reference for all subsequent output color
spaces. Assessment in the final printing color space is no longer necessary from now on, since visual assessment of images or documents is performed across all color spaces – either on the monitor or with absolute color
accuracy with the help of GMG ColorProof. Only for final data output will the fully automatic separation into
any required output color space be performed. Be it for offset, newspaper or gravure printing, for widely differing
printing papers or for mobile publication – every page and every single image is separated perfectly. The proven
result is a Common Appearance, the consistent look for dynamic and diverse media utilization.

In comparison, as a virtual CMYK color space,
GMG ColorMaster can optimally map all international
printing standards.

Edit and save in RGB, view and assess in GMG ColorMaster
The GMG ColorMaster color space is the largest common denominator of all international reference color
spaces for offset and gravure printing. As a result, this color space is the dependable reference for neutral color
communication and a sound basis for standardized, controllable visualization.
The GMG ColorMaster concept stands for high-end color management with the goal of guaranteeing a Common
Appearance for all output color spaces. The quality of the result is groundbreaking – because original GMG color
management and specially optimized profiles are the only way to automate such consistent and high quality
demanding color space conversions.

The easy, reliable way to work with color – GMG ColorMaster for designers and prepress experts
Technical elements and type are defined with special CMYK values in the GMG ColorMaster workflow –
an approach that is traditionally supported best by the various layouting programs. This avoids unnecessary
complication of the conversion of black text and technical elements, for example.
Only when creating the output data are both the embedded RGB data and the GMG ColorMaster CMYK
elements separated automatically for the output color space. All components are perfectly harmonized in the
process, making it far easier to predictably achieve consistent results on the press. Problems with matching the
colors of the print, due to the separate processing of image data and artwork, are a thing of the past thanks to
GMG ColorMaster. So, long gone are the days when annoying deviations occurred as a result of using different
separation criteria for actually identical colors in image data and technical elements.
All printing conditions demonstrate
an amazingly good match – both with
GMG ColorMaster and with each other.
