As a School Leader in Residence, Ladi is spending the school year learning the programmatic structures, autonomies,
and skill sets necessary to lead the transformation at the soon-to-be UP Academy Holland. Here are a few of the ways
that Ladi is honing his leadership skills with support from our network office and current school leaders.

Our schools rely on a series of playbooks and
network guides that spell out every detail of our
model. As a Leader in Residence, Ladi attends
professional development sessions led by network
office staff members with expertise in all aspects
of our approach. From finance and operations
to talent recruitment and academics, Ladi learns
every detail necessary to transform a school.
Ladi receives weekly coaching and support
from our network’s Director of School
Operations while preparing for the launch of
UP Academy Holland. Ladi also meets with
school-based Directors of Operations on a
monthly basis as these leaders collaborate
and share best practices in their work.
In the fall, Ladi spends 2-3 days each week at
UP Academy Dorchester, where he receives
invaluable hands-on experience working
with teachers, operations staff members, and
shadowing the school’s Principal and Director
of Operations.
