Mrs. Liebsch Kissed A PIG!
And that would never have happened without the commitment to a
fundraising project that involved a great steering committee, supportive families, motivated students,
our wonderful staff, and Brent
and Casey Wagner’s pig!
God bless ALL of you!
$6000 was collected in this year’s Raven Run. PTC will see a profit of $4000 after expenses.
Special thanks to the Raven Run committee: Jen Tufte, Laura Bradfield, Ashly Hundley
Kudos to Annie Hart, PE Teacher, for preparing kids for their races!
Message from the Principal!
Dear Families,
The week was the blink of an eye! Fifth graders attended Vocation Day with Archbishop Naumann on Monday and
were in awe of his presence – of his staff, mitre, and cross, of his desire to greet each one of them with handshake.
Body Venture was a tremendous success giving our kdg – 5th grade the opportunity to think about their bodies, a
special God-given gift to be treasured and cared for. The Raven Run on Friday continued that theme of caring for our
bodies, exercising, setting a goal and striving for it! Our fall sport season officially ended on Thursday. Although it
wasn’t a win, our football team’s work ethic and tremendous drive as they played a team that had twice as many
players and players much larger than our team was impressive! We’re proud of our all of our student-athletes who
dedicate themselves to improved performance athletically and academically! Thanks, parents, for sharing your
wonderful children with us!
Blessings1

THANK YOU, VIRGINIA KUCKELMAN!!!!
Virginia Kuckelman has been working in our kitchen for the past five years making sandwiches and salads, assisting
with serving, and helping clean up after every school lunch. Years ago, she and her husband, Jerry, ran the school
lunch program at Atchison Catholic Elementary School. Virginia has decided that it is time to hang up her school
apron for good. We are so grateful for the contributions she has made to our school, for the smiles and kindnesses
she has given our students, for going above and beyond to make staff members happy at lunch with extra touches on
their salads and generous portions on their trays! God bless you, Virginia!
