precisely cut in an acid bath, cleaned, polished and lacquered to preserve the bright brass finish.

The Golden Filigree lamp
is the inspiration for Mika’s
Filigree Lamp Shade. This
version is almost an exact
duplicate of the original
Tiffany design. The
#1412-FLF-12 filigree kit
will produce a six-sided
lamp approximately 16” in
diameter.
Tiffany chose to use light
yellow to dark golden
opalescent glass for this
shade, however any glass

These specially designed two-wheeled
cutters cut glass and tiles quickly and
neatly. Simply position the cutting
wheels on the cut line and squeeze
gently. Mosaic Cutters can be used to
cut narrow (1-1/2” or less) glass strips
into square, rectangular and triangular
shaped pieces very quickly. When the
replaceable carbide wheels begin to dull,
loosen the screws with an allen wrench,
turn wheels and retighten.
These cutters are the “groziers” of the
mosaic world. Use them to nip off small
chunks and to do final shaping of your
mosaic pieces. Made from drop-forged
steel with tungsten carbide jaws ensure
nippers will stay sharp and last a long
time.
This tool combines a carbide cutting
wheel with a pair of running pliers all in
one convenient and easy to use package.
Use the sharp carbide wheel to score
your glass or tile; then “run” your
score by lining up the score line with the
running pliers and gently squeeze.

Mika EliteTM diamond
grinding bits are covered with
a coating of various sized
diamond crystals embedded
in a layer of nickel. The
near spherical form of these
crystals guarantees that the
grinding will be uniform, fast,
and free of chipping.
During grinding, microscopic
pieces break off the crystals.
In this way the bit sharpens
itself, as the crystal in the
next layer takes over.
As a result of this
galvanic process
(see top diagram on
the right), the bits
have extremely long
life.
In the traditional process
(lower picture), the
diamond crystals are
not so securely held,
and the head dulls
faster.

JEWELRY BIT
Standard
The “original” bit to help you secure and easily
wire wrap your fused jewelry pieces. The thin
diamond coated disc grinds a small groove in
the edge of your fused jewelry pieces that will
hold your your wire securely in place without
the need to do time consuming decorative wire
wraps.
MIRROR GRINDING BITS
These unique bits eliminate chipping to the edge of your
mirror and fine glasses. They are even recommended by
Spectrum Glass for use with their new SilverCoatsTM glass.
They are also the perfect choice for those times when you
need a perfectly smooth chip free edge that won’t be covered
over by copper foil tape or lead came. Use for all your
mosaic pieces, wind chimes, create decorative edging ...
Simply position the head so that your glass will pass through
the grove in the bit. The profile of the bit will slightly taper
the back and front side of your glass piece and the fine grit
of the head will leave a soft frosted (and smooth) chip-free
edge. You won’t be disappointed!

Create a custom frosted bevel within minutes using
either of Mika’s beveling bits. Inside curves, outside
curves, stright lines – all are no problem with these
bits. The key is all in the design of these bits that will
have you beveling your glass or creating decorative
edging like an expert within minutes on your standard
grinder! No lengthy learning curve and no expensive
equipment.
