FLIGHTSIMCON TRAVEL GUIDE
The venue for FlightSimCon 2017, the Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport, is connected directly to
Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL). This location is extremely convenient for those traveling
via air, as renting a car or organizing other ground transportation is not required.
Air Travel
Bradley International Airport can be reached from almost every North American city and most European
cities with one-stop or direct service. If you are traveling from Europe, consider taking advantage of Aer
Lingus’ non-stop service between Dublin and Hartford. In all cases, we strongly recommend flying into
Bradley International Airport (BDL), even if it means a connecting flight. Flying to New York or Boston
and then trying to reach Bradley via car or other ground transportation can be inconvenient and
expensive.
If you are considering traveling on Southwest Airlines, please remember that fares are only available on
their website, http://www.southwest.com.

attendees typically do not rent a car since the conference venue is connected directly to the airport.

Bradley Airport Escape Lounge Discount
We are excited to partner with Escape Lounge BDL and offer all FlightSimCon 2017 attendees flying into
or out of Bradley International Airport (KBDL) access to the lounge for just $25 ($20 off the regular rate).
The Escape Lounge, which is open to passengers of any airline, features complimentary food and drink
(alcoholic and non-alcoholic), internet, and a great atmosphere to relax before or after taking a flight.
It's a great place to socialize with some fellow FlightSimCon attendees before your trip home!
The Escape Lounge is located post-security near Gate 1, so be sure to enjoy the discounted offer prior to
leaving the airport’s security zone.
Private Air Travel
Attendees flying themselves to FlightSimCon are encouraged to use Bradley International Airport (BDL).
The airport is attached to the venue and the preferred hotel, and free ground transportation is available
to and from the airport from most other area hotels.
FlightSimCon has partnered with Signature Flight Support for the conference. As a result, attendees of
FlightSimCon will have landing and handling fees waived with a small fuel purchase from the FBO. A
discounted fuel price is also available for attendees. Please contact Signature Flight Support at the
contact information below to reserve a spot. Be sure to mention you are with FlightSimCon. If you do
plan to fly yourself to the event, please have a backup plan in case inclement weather exists.

For FlightSimCon attendees who are within driving distance, the Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport is
conveniently located off Interstate 91, about 20 minutes north of Hartford. Parking at the Sheraton is
free through the conference.

Rail Travel
Arriving at FlightSimCon by train is not a preferred method, as Bradley International Airport does not
have direct rail connections. However, if you are traveling by train, it is recommended that you arrive
into Hartford’s Union Station, served by Amtrak, and then take the Bradley Flyer Bus to the Sheraton
Hotel.
