advocates for Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists. Areas

Conference Goals
This intensive three-day conference will review current and identify
new evidence-based pharmacological and clinical approaches to
management of common conditions in primary and acute care, with the
goals of safe prescribing practice and optimal therapeutic outcomes.

REGISTERING FOR ENROLLMENT-LIMITED SKILLS SESSIONS: Priority will be given to practicing APRNs for the enrollment-limited Thursday
afternoon Preconference and Saturday ‘Skills Track’, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are registering as
a student and wish to be on the waiting list for any of the enrollment-limited sessions, please contact Megan at the WNA office at
800-362-3959, ext. 203 or [email protected]. You will be notified by email on Friday, March 17 if we have space in the
session. You will have one week to confirm your seat. If no response is received by Friday, March 24 your space will be given to

REGISTERING FOR THE SATURDAY MORNING ‘SKILLS TRACK’: Participants will be registered for BOTH sessions of the Saturday ‘Skills Track’ and
automatically charged an additional $50. You will NOT be able to register for any classes in Breakout Sessions 7, 8 or 9. Priority will be
given to practicing APRNs for these enrollment- limited sessions – students may be placed on a waiting list for this track by following the
process noted above.
REGISTRATION FEES: Registration fee includes the printed conference Program as well as meals and breaks on the day(s) you’re
attending. Handouts and reference materials provided by presenters will be posted on the WNA website -- no hardcopies will be
available at the conference.
• There is no additional fee for ‘The American Nurse’ movie on Thursday evening or the WI Chapter of
NAPNAP luncheon meeting on Friday, but please indicate when registering if you plan to attend.
• There will be an additional $25/session fee added automatically to your conference

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS/SPECIAL SERVICES: If you have dietary restrictions or require special services, please notify the WNA office within

make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs or services brought to our attention prior to the conference.
CANCELLATIONS: A $25.00 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations prior to the conference. There will be NO REFUNDS after
the conference begins or for “no shows.”
WNA reserves the right to substitute faculty when necessary and cancel classes that do not meet minimum registration requirements.
Every effort will be made to notify registrants of such changes at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the conference and accommodate
alternate session choices when possible.

Winners of the Mary Barker APRN Scholarship for nursing
graduate school students will be announced during the
general conference luncheon. Please join us in congratulating
them! The scholarship is named after Mary Barker, honoring
one of Wisconsin’s pioneer nurse practitioners and leaders.
Four $2,000 scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year
will be awarded to WNA members who are students in good
standing at one of Wisconsin’s twelve nursing graduate schools
preparing candidates to practice as APRNs.
Applications for this scholarship will be accepted until March 1,
