Vocabulary.com Word Lists for HMH Collection 1 (Grades 6-12)
The Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Florida Collections textbook series contains a rich array
of nonfiction and fiction, chock-full of words that they highlight and label as academic
and critical vocabulary. Although students may be aware of these words as they
encounter them in the various texts, they are not held accountable for reviewing and
learning the words. An effective way to ensure that students actually learn the words
they encounter in this textbook and commit them to memory is to have your students
