leading supplier of high-quality filter presses to municipal and industrial markets worldwide. Product and customer specific requirements are individually
met by a combination of standard mechanical designs using innovative and
well proven technologies with regard to automation and process engineering.

Our scope of supply includes plate and frame,
chamber and membrane filter presses from size
250x250 up to 2450x2450 mm with filtration
areas from 1 m2 up to 2000 m2 and maximum
filtration pressures up to 60 bar.

development of dyes, pigments,
fillers and other chemical intermediates.
Quite often critical considerations in filtration equipment selection are corrosion protection
as well as the long-term reliability of machine functions.
The production and purification
of lead, zinc, manganese
and other metals use highly
aggressive solutions that require
a maximum degree of corrosion
protection. Custom-built solutions have been developed
together with the market leaders of this industry over many
years. The development of
high-capacity, high-speed filter
presses enables us to supply filter presses even for the largest
ore processing facilities.
Since the development of the
first filter presses for dewatering
kaolin, pressure filtration has
proved to be the most appropriate and reliable technology
for dewatering inorganic minerals.
For this application, Andritz can
supply high-pressure filter presses up to a filtration pressure of
60 bar.
Minimizing costs for waste disposal and providing pure water
is an important objective for the
design of new process facilities
or sewage treatment plants.

Modular System
Due to the multiple requirements for industrial and municipal applications,
Andritz produces modular design filter presses. In addition to the basic
design of the filter press, various modular components – as far as possible
made from corrosion-proof stainless steel – can be selected. Therefore,
different filter press designs can be manufactured to suit individual process
requirements.

In response to customer requirements, we have continued to extend the boundaries of mechanical design and equipment automation. As a consequence

Corrosion Protection
Other Equipment Modules
Critical considerations in filter press selection often are corrosion protection,
long-term reliability of machine functions and design and material of filter
plates. These must be resistant to extremely corrosive, mechanical and
thermal influence. The proven design of Andritz filter presses for difficult and

The special plate suspension system (spacer bars and traverse) and the
tarpaulin over the plate pack protects the plate transport mechanism of
