ANGEL ROAD JUNIOR
- SPRING 2014
Year Five
Homework
There was no homework for
the Christmas holidays. The only
expectation was to read fantasy
stories.
Again, for this term there is a
homework choice sheet. Pupils
are expected to complete one
piece of homework from this
per week along with:

reading (at least half an
hour per week).

Spellings.

Mental maths (times tables
etc…)
Homework is due in on a
Wednesday and given out on a
Friday. The children may have
different days of the week for
spellings and mental maths.
Please remember:


If children come to
school with money,
they must have it in
a purse or wallet.
If you need to come
into school (for
whatever reason)
please do so via the
office. This is for
the safeguarding of
all children.
Welcome to Year 5!
We hope you had a great Christmas holiday and
wish you a happy new year!
For this term the year 5 topics are:

If you have anything at home that will support
the learning of these topics then please feel free
to bring them into school.
To support the learning this term we are inviting
some local artists into school and are planning at
least one school trip. We will write to you soon to
confirm further details.
Did you film or photograph the year 5 pantomime? If so, we would love to have copies of
these!
