What is a Folktale?
●A Folk Tale is a traditional story that has been passed
down from one generation to the next by being tolk
aloud.
●No matter what culture they come from, they share
many stylistic elements!
Folk Tale Stylistic Elements:
Spreading the Word
Passed down from generation to generation orally in
various cultures.
Most traditional folktales are very old. They are

by storytellers. Later they were written down. Each
tale may have many versions.
