Elements of Folktales What is a Folktale? ●A Folk Tale is a traditional story that has been passed down from one generation to the next by being tolk aloud. ●No matter what culture they come from, they share many stylistic elements! Folk Tale Stylistic Elements: Spreading the Word Passed down from generation to generation orally in various cultures. Most traditional folktales are very old. They are — stories which were passed down to new generations by storytellers. Later they were written down. Each tale may have many versions.
