Clin-Ess is chemically defined and animal component free and is sterile. It doesn't contain azide
or other bacteriostatic or bacteriocidal components.
Clin-Ess can be used to store 1 cm2 tissue samples at 2 - 8 C for several days before fixing or processing
for IHC, DNA/RNA or protein extraction, enzyme activity assay or any other analysis where having
functional cells and tissue is optimal.
Completely submerge a 1 cm2 piece of tissue in Clin-Ess.
When storing tissue, use enough Clin-Ess to make sure the tissue is completely submerged at all times, no
matter the orientation of the containment vessel.
When ready to process the tissue, allow excess Clin-Ess to run, off then begin your protocol.
