Faculty of Economics – University of Belgrade, Foundation for the Advancement of Economics and the World Bank Invite you to the lecture “Learning What Makes Government Work in the 21st Century” by Tony Verheijen, the World Bank Country Manager for Serbia From his significant experience working in Public sector Management and Governance Department of the World Bank in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia and Africa, Tony Verheijen witnessed firsthand the government reforms being introduced, adopted, and then often discarded in many countries. Besides presenting his new book, Mr Verheijen will also discuss major problems of the public sector in Serbia and possible ways to address them in order to make it more efficient. After the presentation participants will have the opportunity of open discussion with the author.
