Ingredients 150g Butter, softened 150g Caster sugar 1 Egg ½ tsp Vanilla essence 200g Plain Flour 1 tsp Baking powder 115g Chocolate Chips 3 tbsp Milk Method 1 Pre heat the oven to 180oC/350oF/Gas Mark 4 2 Beat together the butter and sugar with a wooden spoon until pale and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla essence 3 Sift the baking powder and flour together and beat into the mixture. Add the chocolate chips and stir until well combined 4 With a large metal spoon, place 8 large spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lightly oiled baking sheet. Make sure you leave plenty of space around them to spread during cooking 5 Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before removing to a cooling rack. Can be stored in an air tight container for up to 5 days.
