POTAFIORI is a life experience.
In the heart of Milan, close to Bocconi University, opens POTAFIORI,
the flowers bistrot, already renown in the public eye. POTAFIORI is the
vision of Rosalba Piccinni, the singer-florist (in Italian, la cantafiorista), who
developed throughout the years the passion for welcoming clients and
turning the time needed to create a bouquet into an enjoyable moment to
savor, made of good music and good food.
From this idea originates POTAFIORI, “the Flowers Bistrot”, a new way of
spending time together. Rosalba shows refined taste and an open vision
of conviviality: “My life is made of (o anche filled of) flowers and music.
I’m a singer-florist, I love being surrounded by flowers, I love composing
serenades and sharing this moment with people in the most simple and
light-hearted way… I always enjoyed the idea of an extended family, a
home without doors, a place where anyone can find a sense of who they
are. Pota!”
POTAFIORI is always open.

POTAFIORI is flower shop and a restaurant.
In POTAFIORI food, and flowers, are the very protagonists. In the kitchen
Giorgio Bresciani, young chef with experiences in Italy and abroad,
translates Rosalba Piccinni’s taste and style in simple but at the same time
original and unusual preparations. The menu is updated every week based
on the market availability, on the season and on the cuisine’s intuition,
which follows the mood of the shop, displaying ever surprising flowers
and compositions. As for flowers, peculiar attention is reserved to the
“mise en place”, and daring combinations of different materials transform
dishes in a unique experience even from an aesthetic point of view.
Soil. Origins. Roots. Culture. A preparation of beauty and design. Each
one of these ingredients appears in the dishes at POTAFIORI. Especially
Culture, that true one made of simplicity and a handed down experience
untouched and valuable.

POTAFIORI is flowers and music.
A sudden serenade at the table. An instrumental concert during the weekly
date of potajazz. This also happens at POTAFIORI. Because Rosalba is
the “singer-florist”, famous for her contemporary metropolitan serenades
delivered at home, when along with a bouquet she carries her jazz voice.
Rosalba starts singing as a child. In the 90s she debuts as pop singer
recording different unpublished tracks. Then, with Antonello Gabelli,
produces her first album named Chi? Roxy?; in 2011 she publishes
with Egea Music Arrivi, collection of 11 tracks in which the pop sound
meets the elegance of jazz. This album carries the artistic production
and arrangements of Lorenzo Caperchi and Simone Pirovano. String
arrangements had been taken care of by Borgar Magnason and were
registered at the Greenhouse Studios of Reykjavik’s.
Rosalba Piccinni’s career takes off with nine sold-out at the Blue Note in
Milan and events such as, among others, the Fashion Night in Milan, the
Gran Premio in Monza, Ischia Film Festival.
Music and flowers, a perfect union. Unreleased. Unusual.

POTAFIORI sells flowers and design collection.
POTAFIORI is a concept store. Its soul is made of flowers, from the most
precious to the most humble, but among wild herbs, roses, thorny roots,
rare orchids, cactus leaves and fragrant buds, you find designed items.
Rosalba’s inspiration and energy shine on her choice of whatever is
complementary to flowers.
Rosalba reuses the apron model she has been using for years in her flower
shops and, with Elisabetta Campana, she updates it with a daring and
winning intuition, employing cotton or linen-and-cotton fabric, with original
prints by William Morris. The outcome is extravagant, mimetic and pop.
Cheerful, ironic and at the same time very elegant. Morris’ floreal patterns
perfectly integrate in the ambience, thus becoming an identity motif. The
Pota Design Collection is quickly enriched with more items exclusively
designed by Elisabetta Campana: the shopper bag, the pochette, and
the iPad case.
POTAFIORI is currently engaged in diverse projects and collaborations
with different companies. The Pota Design Collection is taking shape:
a collection of selected items and products realized appositively with
passion and talent.

POTAFIORI is a laboratory of creativity.
At POTAFIORI it’s possible to participate in potalab, real laboratory of
flower arrangements, during which the generous creativity of Rosalba
Piccinni is expressed and shared at its best. Spiral flower compositions,
centerpieces, bouquet, sushi and kokedama are realized in a relaxed
and enjoyable atmosphere, with the supervision of Rosalba and her
assistants. A farewell aperitivo accompanied by an a-cappella song seals
the experience.

POTAFIORI is an art gallery.
Thrice a year the shop hosts an artist, whose artwork or aesthetic
research meets the concept of beauty felt at POTAFIORI. In this way the
ambient is enriched with a discrete presence with a strong content, either
in assonance or in contrast.
