Hare Automotive Tooling systems move current
practice in self checking assembly tooling

Hare Tooling systems move current practice in

Load & Position Monitoring
P. J. Hare can supply and integrate various in
house or third party systems where monitoring
of assembly forces and ram displacement are

combination of leading edge control systems
and well proven robust tool designs by Hare
software and tooling engineers, provides for
seamless integration of the maXYmos range of
monitors.
By performing monitoring earlier within the
manufacturing chain, more rejects are avoided.
Consistent quality assurance integrated into the
processes ensures high product quality.

Standard specification includes light screen

Designed for high speed production – up to
2,000 components per hour manually loaded.
Available in two sizes 6 or 8 ton with integral
light screen guard.
Mechanical press users are amazed at the
productivity and versatility of a modern hydraulic
press. Ram speeds are fast and operator access
excellent. Production rates of up to 2000
components per hour are often achieved
because maximum load is available at any
point in the stroke, tool height is not critical.
Toolsetting is usually completed in a matter of
a few minutes. The long effective power stroke
and the generous tooling area means better
plant utilisation.

The HP Range – Designed to replace mechanical
presses on most types of first and second
operation press work, the HP’s can increase

4-Column Presses
Hare column presses can be configured with 2
or 4-columns depending on the application, and
are available with either up or down-stroking
rams.
The modular design allows for the column
spacing to be positioned to suit customer
requirements.
Optional guided platens give excellent tooling
support and optimum load distribution over the
entire platen with minimum deflection.

Composite, Rubber and Thermoplastic Hot Platen Presses
P.J. Hare manufacture a range of heated platen
presses for compression molding of rubber,
plastics and composites; also for laminating,
laboratory and R&D.
Electrically or oil heated platens are uniquely
designed for uniform heat distribution and fine
temperature control.
Compressed air or water cooling is also
available.
Enhanced programmable press controls for
multiple ramp profiles, data logging of press
load and position in addition to the platen
temperature parameters.
Presses are available in 4-column or C frame
configurations, with both up or down stroking
hydraulic rams.

engineering company with their design
and manufacturing operation based in the
Siegerland region of Germany.
Their product portfolio includes hydraulic
presses and customized special machines for
forming technology.

BrakeMaster Range
Brakes
The BrakeMaster machines revolutionise Aircraft
steel brake assembly and disassembly by
semi-automating the riveting and de-riveting
processes and reducing the time taken from
several minutes to seconds.
Based on our standard press model AM300 and
developed in conjunction with the United States
Air Force, the Brakemaster speeds up and deskills the entire brake riveting process, allowing
brake units to be disassembled in a few seconds
and assembled in just a couple of minutes.
BrakeMaster is a vital piece of equipment for
wheel and brake MRO facilities. The machine is
not aircraft specific and can be used for almost
all types of steel brakes of different models and
sizes.
Wheel Bearings
In addition we have recently added the Aircraft
Wheel Bearing Assembly and Dis-assembly
Press.
The 25 ton capacity press designed using
assemblies from our standard range is fitted
with a manual slide table, long stroke and light
screen guard for added safety.
The press tonnage can be adjusted from 1 to 25
tons, the ram movement is controlled by push
buttons which allow the operator to accurately
inch the ram in either direction.
The slide table will accommodate everything
from the smallest Cessna wheel to Airbus A380.
There are two types of BrakeMaster machines
The Assembly (rivet) and Dis-assembly (de-rivet).
